so i fucking hate this website because even if i WANT to report spam accounts itās so fucking hard like THERE IS NO REASON FOR A SUGGESTIVE PICTURE OF A WOMAN DOING THE SPLITS TO BE ON THE TRENDING PAGE and like sure THAT blog is just barely under the āitās okay so long as theyāre not nakedā bull shit guidelines but all the fucking notes on those kinds of posts are bots like the OP is just a collection of stolen womenās photos and itās so fucking obvious
but like if i want to report all those spam blogs thereās no easy way to turn that list of 11,000 notes into a list to check because iām sure thereās real users who donāt realize theyāre bot suckers boosting that garbage but like letās be real. itās 99.9% bot boosted content. i want to turn those notes into a spam bot hit list and i canāt fucking copy and paste it like WHY TUMBLR?????

Hey. I've been on tumblr since 2011 (many different accounts this is a new one). I was working on a program that scanned for bots (I was starting off doing it like ad block and looking at the links in posts etc..)... it looks like you kinda beat me too it (very very strangely same name too) but, would it be ok if my program read your posts off this blog? It would help a lot!! Also, if you had any tips, I'd really appreciate it.

i donāt. . ever post pictures of dogs. clearly these are bots but.. what purpose do they serve
could be a lot of reasons, the more real people interact with a blog the more legitimate it looks so when the dog blog gets popular it can interact with bots that post links to make those bots look more legitimate. then if the secondary blogs with links get taken down, the person running the bots can just make a new blog with links and add activity from the dog bots right away instead of building up a porn following again. iāve seen a few bots- i think the name was āworld of dogsā or something?- well, that nameās come up multiple times in the liked section of porn bot posts.Ā
it could also be the innocent name is for people who follow back anyone who follows them but has gotten wise to the porn bot names. itās possible to change the blogās name, delete all itās content, then start posting porn straight to itās followerās dashboards.
it could also be used as a deactivated name fishing bot, so if you change your blog name the bot instantly knows and registers your old name.

a while ago i was considering running a nazi callout blog so i looked at lots and lots of nazi blogs. itās not a unique nazi porn blog, thereās a shit ton of blogs that are half swastikas and half naked blond people with creepy captions underneath them. bots tend to use the same pictures and captions over and over again, but these are unique pictures with unique captions.
sadly, this is worse than a nazi bot. itās a nazi.

do yāall even know about the tumblingjazz program? and if so canāt you just make it so you canāt access tumblr unless youāre using a supported browser? i mean under account settings i can see that you know what browser iām using. canāt you just black list every program that isnāt chrome or firefox or opera or internet explorer? can you sue the assholes who made the program? can you ask Hostwinds, their current host, to take them down?
what can and canāt be done about the bots is what iām asking.
