~~Recap~~
You quietly make your way back to your room, on your way there, tempted to text Jerry or one of your friends, but decided against it.
Instead ending the night off by yourself againâŚ
~~Recap Over~~
You slip into your room and get ready for bed. Before heading to sleep your eyes land on the beetle plush from before. Sure its head has to be stitched back together after what Damian did to it, but itâs still in pretty good condition.
Pulling it closer to you, you fall into a deep sleep. The last image you see is of the family photo back at Jerryâs home. His father eyes being the last thing you see before your dream startsâŚ.
**Gotham City, 1989**
The air is thick and moist, as rain continues to pour down on the poor boy hiding in alleyway out back, behind the celebration going on.
Every now and again someone would step outside but wouldnât say anything when they spotted him. Why would they?
Why would anyone want to talk to such a creepy kid.
He doesnât even know how long heâs been out here for, minutes, hours? Not that his father would care. He hasnât cared ever since his mother passed away.
Arthur buries his face further into his knees as he curls up against the dumpster. A bug would bite him every now again, only further adding salt to the wound.
Unlike his sister he didnât have the power to understand bugs, to hear them, to control them. Hell, even his older brother could at least hear them.
The only trait he did seem to get was his motherâs eyes, but even that wasnât enough for their father it seems.
He wasnât as connected as his sister was, he wasnât their motherâs twin and the congregation perfect golden boy like his brother was. If anything he looked more like their father.
The same father that had shunned him in front of their entire close family during his sisterâs day of recognition, due to hisâŚattitude.
Heâd never get a celebration after today. Honestly he wouldnât be to surprised if they already forgot all about him.
Arthur tries to stop himself from sneezing but it only made the itch worse, and before he knows it, heâs in a sneezing frenzy.
He doesnât even notice when the rain seems to stop until he finally has to ability to open his eyes again.
But he almost immediately jumps back, as his head hits the dumpster when he finds himself being stared down at.
âGawd-â
Arthur clutches his heart as he presses up against the wall, now staring back at a very unfamiliar face.
~~POV switch~~
âAre you okay?â
She watches as the boy in front of her starts to hyperventilate, and for a second sheâs tempted to say something else, but only watches as he pulls out an inhaler and slowly starts to calm down.
He holds onto the inhaler as if his life depends on it, and maybe it does. He closes his eyes again and now she really takes the boy in.
He has these thick bottle cap glasses on, the kind youâd only see really old people with bad vision have.
His face is all pimply, and heâs as pale as paper, but she swears he looked like even before she spooked him.
Once he finally seems to calm down he relaxes a bit, maybe finally realizing she isnât about to rob him, but that doesnât seem to make him fully relax just yet.
He does manage to rasp out a couple of words even after the scare he just had.
âDid my sister tell you to come out here, come to berate me too.â He snarled, brows furrowed and face now flush with barely concealed dismay.
âNo?â She straightens up now as the wind starts to blow harder now. âArenât you a waiter here?â
His face only seems to heat up even more at her question. Embarrassed and enraged the boy finally stands up. His legs unfolding as such quickness she had almost slipped trying to back away.
To be honest she wasnât too afraid of him before when he sneezing his lungs up, but now with him standing at full heightâŚ
~~Arthur POV~~
He canât seem to find peace anywhere it seems. Someone always has to come and ruin his peace. The rage in his chest seems to dim when he takes a really good look at her.
There was nothing particularly special about her, heâs sure he has seen many girls with a similar style as her. But something about her was different, he felt different when staring at her.
âIâm just gonnaâŚâ She slowly backs away now and the cold wet feeling from before comes back almost immediately.
His face warms up as he opens his mouth to say something, but nothing comes out. All of his earlier confidence fades out as she continues to glance back at him as she walks away, pure concern written over her face.
Arthur doesnt say anything as she gets farther away, nor when she leaves his line sight, and definitely not when his brother came outside to try to get him to go inside.
As his older brother ushers him back inside, probably mumbling out comforting words of encouragement, Arthur canât help but think about the girl from earlier.
She was quite nice.
~~~~
Arthur has never gone out of his way for anyone who wasnât family. But after meeting your mother once, he decided to learn more about her-hell, he wanted to know EVERYTHING about her.
First it started off simple, innocent. Heâd walk past the street she lived on and walk by her school. Then he would start to âbumpâ into her on the street whenever he could.
It was easy to befriend her, she didnât seem to mad about their initial meeting anymore and was happy to become his friend when he told her how he had none thanks to being homeschooled.
Now her friend, he got the chance to learn more about her. From her favorite bakery, to the theater she likes to sneak into every now again whenever she could.
He learned how she would go out of her way to help those less fortunate and even volunteers at soup kitchens on the weekends.
The only problem was that during the week sheâd have to go to school. At first he didnât mind waiting for her to get out. But Arthur isnât as patient as he likes others to believe.
Eventually he ended up signing up for public school just to be able to spend more time with her during the week.
At first your mother was happy to show him around school and hangout with him, but then he started to get clingy.
Heâd intentionally cut off her friends whenever they would try talking to her, start rumors about her to scare her friends away, and even got her kicked out of her theater club. She eventually became a social pariah.
At first she really wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, to believe he didnât know what he was doing and how it was hurting her.
But it took her best friend Eddie starting to distance himself from her, for her to realize the severity of the situation.
Enough was enough, she needed to get rid of him, but how?
~~
The bell rings and everyone is running out the door to be the first to get out of here. She takes her time putting away her stuff. As every time she walks through the hallway now, all she can see is peopleâs gaze on her.
But not in a good way, of course not. Because of all of the rumors Arthur has spread about her, no one wants to come up to her. But they do love to stare and whisper.
As she putting her stuff away her waterbottle tips over as one of her classmates knocks into her shoulderâŚeven though she was already as close to the wall as she could get.
Her eyes snap up almost immediately. âHey-âŚ.â She watches as the boy walks away without looking back, as if not even realizing he just knocked into her.
Looking back down she goes to pick up her stuff when a pair of shiny black pumps appear in her line of sight. These were the expensive kinda of shoes too.
Slowly looking up, she finds herself face to face with one of the most beautiful girlâs she has ever seen.
Before she could say anything the girl picks up her water bottle and hands it back to her. Now slowly standing up, she can really take in the girl.
She had short brown hair, grey-ish blue eyes, and some of the rosiest cheeks she has ever seen. But even though she had some of the softest features your mother has ever seen, she sure did have the sharpest scowl as well.
Honestly this girl looked like the metaphor âWolf in sheepâs clothingâ with how big her blue eyes were yet how hard her stare was.
âThanks-â
She gets promptly cut off by the girl as she gets pulled forward. âYou donât like Arthur, do you?â
âHm?â She glances down at her wrist, the girlâs hand is wrapped around it. And no matter how hard she tried to pull her arm away, she could never break out of the girls tight grip.
âI can help you get rid of him, all you have to do is follow my lead.â
Looking back up, your mother looked at the girl, really looked at her. Now closer she could see every thing, from pale bags under the girls eyes, to the gloomy look on her face.
If her grip on her wrist said anything about who she was, your mother knew it meant she was someone she didnât want to disagree with.
And technically sheâd be getting something out of this too, sheâd get rid of Arthur and maybe Eddie would come back, and whatever this girl wants sheâs get too, whatever it is that she wanted that isâŚ
Your mother agrees quickly, a sigh of relief escaping her once the girl let go of her wrist finally, allowing her to rub at the now sore spot.
âBy the way my names Lucyâs.â The girl smiles finally, and your mother gives the girl a polite but strained smile back.
âLike short for Lucifer?â
ââŚSure.â Lucy chuckles coldly, before twirling a strand of her hair between her fingers absently. âAnyways, all I need you to do is to steer clear of him once I get rid of him. Iâll make sure you get everything you want as well, trust me, youâll get everything you deserve and more.â
Even though that sounded extremely ominous and your mother really didnât like this girls tone, she also knows a killer when she sees one. And this girl was looking at her like she was about to be her next meal. So without any further explanation she agreesâŚ
~~
It didnât take long for her to figure out the girl was apparently Arthurâs fiancĂŠe (She didnât know people were stilling marrying off their children) , or thatâs what she told her anyways.
It also didnât take long for Lucy to get Arthur to leave her alone either. One day Arthur was following her around and the next he was gone, no warning, no goodbye, nothing.
But the day before he left he was particularly more clingy than usual, but she choice not to linger on it for to long, she had bigger issues to worry about.
Like getting her fame back. Thanks to Arthur, everyone hated her. Even Eddie seemed to disappear, honestly she was starting to get worried as she hasnât seen Eddie for a while.
~~
Schoolâs over and sheâs walking down the street when all of sudden sheâs getting pulled into a shop.
âThe hell-â She turn to glare at whoever just pulled her inside, when her eyes land on a familiar tuff of red hair.
âEddie?!â
Staring back at her is a much weaker looking Eddie, not like the one sheâs used to seeing. His hair is a mess and bruises cover every inch of his skin.
Before she question him, he quickly pulls her away from the door and further into the thrift store.
âHey-ohâŚâ She quietly follows him towards the back of the thrift store, nearly avoiding spiderwebs.
The place was absolutely deserted, and if Eddie hadnât dragged her in here she wouldâve assumed it was abandoned.
As sheâs looking around her eyes land on a shelf full of books, but she didnât get enough time to truly look at any of them before Eddie is abruptly stopping.
Turning around sharply, Eddie begins to look her over. This mightâve been the most nervous sheâs seen the boy.
Honestly he looked like shit, red hair unevenly cut, the bruises on him much more pronounced somehow in the darker lighting of the store, and his eyes were filled with concern.
Before she can ask whatâs wrong, Eddie implodes into tears and barely concealed sniffling, as he pulls her into a deep embrace.
During the weeks he had disappeared, he had gone through some things just fighting to stay alive. It all happened out of no where. His fatherâs small business tanked, his mother lost her job at the office-they even lost their house.
Then things went from bad to weird quickly. Over the short time frame heâs been gone, heâs been seeing Arthur everywhere he went, and if it wasnât the blue eyed boy, it was his stupid bugs.
Eddie has never been bitten this much by anything in his life!!
He knows it sounds crazy but he knows Arthur has something to do with it. And heâs scared for you-her, your mother.
This was the first, and definitely not the last time sheâs seen Eddie cry. Your mother didnât know what to say when Eddie told her all this things.
From how he now had to live with grandma who lives on the completely opposite side of Gotham- (As thatâs as far as Arthur could get him without it getting to suspicious) To how Arthur has been there at every turn.
Now Eddies pulling at what little hair he still had while holding her even closer-at this point they were hugging all while Eddie just went on and on about Arthur is a terrible person and how he did something.
Which at first she thought Eddie was just mentioning Arthur to just mention him. But the more she thought about it the more it seemed believed.
Then again, why was she trying to defend a guy who spread a rumor about her anyways? She was quick to finally place her hands on Eddie shoulders, making the boy finally look at her, really look at HER.
âEddie, breathe with me here.â
She pulls back so then he could visibly see her breathing better, as she begins to breathe. And after watching her for a few seconds Eddie follows along and slowly he catches his breath.
âYou canât hangout with this guy anymore.â Eddie shakes his head as she lets out a small sigh of agreement.
âI know, and trust me I wonâtâŚâ
Eddie lets out relieved breath as he rests his head on her shoulder. And for the first time in days, he can breathe.
~~POV Switch 3rd person~~
That day Arthur disappeared was the day his father caught wind of he did. Now his father didnât care about Arthur or his reputation as singular person on his own.
Itâs about how he represents the WHOLE family.
He may not have the ability like his sister or be the golden boy of the congregation but he canât be out here acting as if heâs not apart of this family either.
Sure he could technically kill whoever he wants as long as he spins it just right. But he didnât want to do all that extra work just to protect the one child he didnât even like.
So what did Arthurâs father do to prevent his son from doing something theyâd both regret. He took him right back out that school, put him BACK into boarding school, and this time put him even farther away.
He no longer would attend school with his brother in Europe, no, he got sent to a boarding school somewhere in Asia. Honestly he doesnât even remember where he sent his son, he just sent him away.
And for the longest time everyone forgot about poor Arthur. Maybe at first his brother tried to send him letters, but Arthur never answered, so he stopped sending them.
And when he did, no one remembered, not even the girl he lovedâŚ
~~
After the summer ended it was like nothing ever happened. Somehow everyone forgot about the rumors, and strangely enough everyone actually wanted to be friends with her?!
She got moved from the theater kid table and over to the popular girl table! She no longer was the last one picked during group projects, actually people were practically begging to partner up with her!
Hell, she even got two prom-proposals that and won prom queen for the rest of her high school years.
Then the second she graduated she got a gig as a background actor for movie, then she got a voice role, and finally she was apart of the main castâŚ.
As all of this is happening Eddie stayed by her side. Slowly turning from not only just her closet friend to her bodyguard. No longer was he just some scrawny little boy anymore, he was much bigger now and stronger.
And somewhere down the line your mother somehow got herself involved with the wrong crowdâŚapparently she had reached a high enough tax bracket for the Court of Owls to catch wind of her.
She was given a mask and everything but she had no plans of joiningâŚuntil him.
Bruce wanted info, but the Court of Owls werenât cocky for nothing. They were good. He had originally planned to just sneak in there and get information that way. But then he met your mother.
A long term rat is better than a one time visit.
He convinced your mother to join the Court of Owls and to report to back any information that could be concerning to a particular case he was trying to solve involving deaths surrounding a book and bugs.
Along the way your mother did want payment, but not the paper kind. She had money and fame already. And this was Bruce Wayne weâre talking about here. He can be very alluring even when you donât know what he looks like under the mask.
Somewhere down the line she accidentally gets her hands on said book and immediately has to leave the country with it. Taking only what she needed, and with Eddie she fled.
Her career comes to a halt when she has you, and then she back to work, leaving you under the care of Eddie.
She went through great lengths to keep your face out of public view, and it worked until it didnât.
Some people came looking for the book again, and in the process you got hurt, leaving your mother with only one choice.
To send you to Gotham.
The dream ends right when she closes the door, leaving you behind in the hotel as she disappears off into the night, and your trip back to Gotham starts.
~~~~
You wake up with a start, as your alarm clock screams into your ears. âUghhh.â Letting your hands hit the off button you lay back down in your bed for a second before sighing.
Your eyes slowly glance around from one side of your room to the next only to find another set staring right back at youâŚ
~~Extra Scene~~
**Back with you and Eddie**
Eddie watches as you stare longingly out the window of the bus, clearly still upset about being away from your mother for this long. He glances away as he checks his phone, still nothing from your motherâŚA sigh escapes him just as you turn to look at him.
âWhere are we heading again?â
âGotham.â
Eddie watches as you try to remember where you heard the name from, but when you canât seem to remember you focus back on him.
âWhatâs that?â
Eddie gives you a look, already having explained it to you on the plane, but he decides to humor you anyways.
âItâs a-â You cut him off before he can finish, already onto your next question. âWhere is that?â
âItâs by-â You cut him off again, now lazily adjusting your hold on your plush. âWhy are we even going there?â
Eddie side eyes you, just for a second, before he finally answers you many questions.
âItâs a city in New Jersey, where going there to meet someone.â
âWho?â
âYour father.â
He watches as you sit up a bit straighter, your interest now fully piqued. At this point in your life, you have never met your father, you donât even know what he looks like. This is perhaps the first time Eddie has even mentioned him.
âReally, whatâs he like?â
âI donât know.â
ââŚâ Your face scrunches up into confusion as you stare at Eddie with a hint of mild shock as well. How does not know what your fatherâs like?
As if sensing your confusion, Eddie is quick to explain.
âI never reallyâŚhung out with your father, I only known him from what I heard about him your motherâŚâ He glances away for a second as he mutters this last bit under his breath. âAnd newsletters.â
âHuhâŚâ You look away for a second, and Eddie looks away too.
As he glances away he spots a very familiar mask. âGod damnit-â
~~Extra Scene~~
Jason looks over his gun as he wipes away at smudge of blood, softly humming a tune under his breath. He glances back up as he stares down at the manor.
He doesnât know why, but he has a strange feeling that something bad will happen to you tomorrow. Maybe your play will go wrong? The only reason he knows about is because heâs been shamelessly stalking motoring you out of fear of something bad happening.
And he wasnât alone either.
Cass had also not been affected by the journal, and hasnât stopped following you around since that day in the sewer.
Even though itâs only been a couple hours since dinner, she canât help but notice how differently everyoneâs acting. And she has a feeling she knows why.
This is mainly based off of my main story that I last posted which is Lights! Camara! And Action! But if you want to see me write for anything else I have written in the past you can just ask! Honestly I might even post about what fandoms I can write for!
Note: technically if you really wanted to you could read this as gn as I donât think I mention a lot of feminine things in this, unless Iâm wrong, then please correct me. Also if you want to read more about Jerry sadly heâs kinda a side character in a platonic Batfam x reader fic soâŚ
Warning: Suggestive content, no smut, bodily fluids mentioned, destruction of personal property, uncomfortable topics, and baby trapping mentioned, honestly just donât read this crap
ExtrasâŚbackâŚStory
Did you know that before you and Jerry got together he actually had a itchi bag of you?
Obviously he made it all himself, even learned how to make bags just to be able to say heâs your only true biggest fan.
The first bag came out horribly, but when you have as much free time as he does, you can practice all you want.
Jerry actually had taken up a lot of hobbies just to be able to appreciate you better.
He learned how to crochet just to make plushies of you, even made a couple of him and you stitched together.
And somewhere deep in his room, where he hid all the other things made for you, you can find crochet children. A little mix of you two, somewhere deep and in hiding in his room.
~~
Jerry didnât know how to cook for very a very long time. He only started learning when the idea of you living with him started to become more of a reality than a fantasy.
Why let his personal chief cook for you? He has two perfectly good hands, let him use it to fill you.
He wants you to consume the things he makes for you. So of course he wants to get good at making food so then you ask him to cook for you.
As what kind of boyfriend would he be, if he wasnât one you could depend on for survival?
~~
When you came back and moved back to Gotham, he took up a new hobby above the ones he had made before to please his parents.
Photography.
He never even used the camera option on his phone before you came back to town, and now his gallery is filled to the brim with photos of you.
He photos albums for different facial expressions, places, and even actions he has caught on camera.
He even ended up buying a real camera just to get better photos of you.
~~
Jerry did in fact have a shrine of you in his room. And he did take it down when you moved in with him. But he didnât get rid of it, no, he just moved it somewhere else.
Collecting your things to put in his shrine has only became ten times easier for him. He technically now considers your shared bedroom a shrine on its own, as everything in it has been touched by you.
Now he doesnât even let the housekeeper clean his bedroom for him anymore. Something that important should be cared by him personally.
He wouldnât want to break the carefully arranged arrangement going on in there.
~~
Jerry is the type of person who take the hair out of your brush or it cut directly from your head, just to make a mini version of you with it.
Itâs actually his least favorite trait of his and has tried to stop it, but he canât seem to stop picking up your stray hairs out of habit.
Out of all of his hobbies, this is the one you know absolutely nothing about and it will stay this way for as long as heâs alive.
~~
Jerry has thought about cumming in your hair wash before and only hasnât because he doesnât like the idea of messing with your hair.
If thereâs one thing that Jerry doesnât want to ruin about you, it has to be your hair, he loves it.
Short, long, straight, curly.
He doesnât care, he just wants it in a way he doesnât even fully understand himself.
~~
Jerry has on multiple occasions tried to lick you in âunusualâ places. You donât have to be into arm pit licking for him to do it.
He isnât doing it for you. Heâs doing it because itâs the part of your body that smells the most like you.
It genuinely grosses you out and he knows it. But you let him do it only because you donât want to let him out freak you, even if you wouldnât DARE to do it back.
~~
Jerry has taken your panties before and gave it back with questionable residue on it before.
You now know to just take it without questioning him. Itâs a very tedious and awkward conversation-for you and only you.
~~
Heâs not stupid, he knows he makes you uncomfortable with some of hisâŚtendencies. So he does his best to not let you see any of them, some of them he canât help if you see or not.
But just know half the things you think you know about him is actually only half the things he actually does, as there is a lot of things he has done or is still doing that you wonât know about until you are absolutely stuck with him with no escape.
~~
He wouldnât intentionally try baby-trapping you. It would genuinely happen by accident or because of his parents meddling.
He not so secretly hates kids with a passion.
Just like how his father hated him, he would hate any of the kids you guys have. He wouldnât out right say it, but it would be pretty obvious who he would let die if he had to.
Not that you wouldnât always be the one he chooses to let live, it just he wouldnât pick your kid over a stranger either.
~~
You guys wouldnât have pets if he had a choice in the matter. Heâs not a sharer, but he is a bragger.
~~
Jerry wants you to think heâs helpless without you and that youâre the one in control in the relationship. But you know that if he one day feels threatened just enough his true colors will come out.
Itâs just in his nature to do so, he wants to be sweet, he really does, but he also doesnât want you to actually leave him. And he will do everything in his power to keep you there, even if it means doing something he doesnât technically want to do.
~~
Jerry will happily do any of your hobbies with you, just as long as he can control the environment that itâs in.
He doesnât actually like being around people, honestly, you donât think heâs ever gave the impression that he DID like being around people.
He never actually hid his distaste for other people very well. He doesnât even like his own parents, and they donât like him either, especially his father.
He could kill them, sure. Nothings really stopping him besides his respect for them.
You want them died though, but you would never voice it. Not out of fear, but also out of respect. You got to give it to them, they made the impossible possible.
Also youâre still shellshocked by how differently Jerryâs father acts around his mother. Itâs like he has no shame.
You donât know rather you should respect it or be concerned if thatâs how you and Jerry look to others.
~~
Jerry is and isnât a incel, it wasnât involuntarily, if he had truly wanted to he couldâve found someone to do it with. (I mean he runs a cult, someone in the cult must want to sleep with him.) The only reason he didnât was in respect to you and your guys (not yet real yet) relationship.
He didnât want to soil himself with someone elseâs essence and then soil you with the exact same thing.
No, he wanted to be as clean as possible for you. Obviously you didnât know any of this, so if you did end up sleeping with someone else before him, he wouldnât take it as you âdirtyingâ or âruiningâ your pure essence.
Honestly he would blame himself for not being worthy enough to be your first and only person. And would do everything in his power to be the very best you have ever had.
~~
Jerry was a brunette when you first met him. He only started dying his hair back in middle school when, while he was staking you, he noticed that you started having a preference for a certain hair colorâŚ
Even though that preference may not still be there, as it was just a five second thing for you, he still dyes his hair, but now does it for himself as he actually enjoys how it looks on him.
~~
Jerry is the type of person to lie about liking the same thing as you and commit to it all the way, even if he doesnât actually like the things youâre doing.
He will force you guys to have something in common by forcing himself to do everything that you do, to hopefully make him more relatable to you.
Itâs pathetic and sweet, yet you mainly hate it as you can never tell if he actually likes something or is just agreeing with you, just to please you.
You stopped trusting his opinion on things after you figured out he didnât actually like your favorite flavor of ice cream and had only picked it because he knew you liked it.
Jerry knows that you know heâs a liar, but he doesnât want you to hate him for not liking the same things as you, so he keeps lying. Even if it hurts his credibility each time he does it.
~~
Jerry hates your family, but hates them even more than he normally wouldâve if they were just a normal family, as theyâre also obsessed with you.
Jerry is the fattest hypocrite you have ever met as he will tell you how itâs creepy how controlling they are of you when what he does it ten times worst in so many ways.
~~
Jerry doesnât tell anyone when you guys get married, he only allows one or two people come, and theyâre the people you picked. He doesnât have any friends outside of the ones he made to get closer to you, so it definitely didnât matter who you invited.
Technically no one would come if it wasnât for the fact he wants your marriage to be as valid as possible, so having one to two witnesses is necessary for this.
~~
Jerry would 100% clean you with his mouth and only his mouth if you asked him toâŚ

Everything hurts. You want to move but you canât find the energy to do so. You can barely even open your eyes.
You can hear him, you can hear him mumbling under his breath. Probably apologizing about something.
Heâs always apologizing.
You know he isnât truly sorry. Maybe for the pain youâre in, but nothing elseâŚ
You know heâs enjoying every second of this. Enjoying the fact you donât just want him around but NEED him around.
You sharply inhale as his hand ghost over where your ankle lays. A searing pain shootâs up your spine and you inhale sharply again.
You can feel his eyes burn into you, watching your face scrunch up, looking for every reaction you make. Nothing escapes his watchful eyes, the same eyes that stare lovingly at you as he strips you apart with only his eyes.
You know the exact moment he leaves your side as the itchy feeling of a bug crawling on you disappears.
And you already can guess why he left, either his father-or maybe his mother had called for him and like the good son he was, he left.
You want to say you donât care, but you know youâre lying.
You hate how much you depend on him. Youâre not stuck here. Heâs too scared to actually hurt you, to cuff you to anything. But he wonât leave your side either.
He follows you around like a shadow, one that you canât live without. You already miss him and heâs only be gone for a few minutes now. You want him back.

Your grip on the menu tightens a bit as irritation flashes through you, and for a second youâre tempted to jump across the table and snatch his phone out of his hands.
He so fake.
Jerry hyped this whole thing up only to end up on his phone a few seconds into your date!!
You know he canât help it if heâs called by his mother to come back and âdealâ with an unruly believer. But canât his stupid cult give him a break!!
Sometimes you canât help but feel like he cares more about pleasing his mother than appreciating you!
Is it wrong that you just want ALL of his attention?
I mean whoâs more important, his cult? Or you his beautiful, intelligent, stunning, loving, model worthy fiance?
I think the answer is clearâŚ
âSigh.â You glance up from the menu to see if heâs looking at you now, only to find he barely moved at your sound of distress!
Your brows furrow before you quickly look back down at your menu you again, sighing again, this time louder. âHuhhh.â
ââŚâ
The menu in your hands starts to get more wrinkled the longer it takes for Jerry to respond. And your brows are practically kissing at this point as you squeeze the menu tighter.
Your voice is much more calmer than you feel right like right now. ââŚJerry.â
His eyes almost immediately snaps up from his phone at the sound of his name being called. If you didnât know better youâd think he looked pretty nervous right now. âY-yes?â
You put the menu down as your lips slowly start to curl downwards. âWhy do you hate me so much?â
His eyes immediately go wide at your words, before he quickly discards his phone now, letting it lay flat on the table as he reaches for your hands, only for you to pull your hands out of reach.
Now heâs frowning, but he doesnât immediately pull his hands back. They linger for a second before slowly retracting back to him, as if he has to physically stop himself from reaching across, and just taking your hands into his.
âI donât hate you-â He stops before frowning deeper as he instinctively brings his hand back up and starts biting at his thumb.
âI really donât, you know I donât, Iâm sorry, please donât hate me,â
You watch as he starts to sweat and then soon heâs mumbling on about how much he loves you and how he never meant to make you feel unloved.
Is it wrong to say you enjoy watching him get all squeamish and defensive?
He only stops when you start smiling at him. He sighs and leans forward, and you finally reach for his hands, watching as his hands meet yours in the middle.
He sighs again, but this time in relief as you continue smiling at him from across the table. His phone now the least of your concerns now.
~~~~
You let your hands run through his hair, watching the light bounce off the blonde streak. He doesnât flinch when you sharply pull his head back by his hair.
All he does is stare up at you with those same exact wet eyes you remember so vaguely from your childhood. The same ones you found creepy before but canât seem to get enough of now.
Itâs crazy what a bit of cosmetics can do to a person.
Itâs crazy what a person is willing to do just to get you to look at them again.
His sniffling doesnât stop either, as he stays kneeled down in front of you, hands latched onto your legs extremely tight, for someone who wouldnât dare actually leaving a mark on you.
âWhy are you always crying Jerry? You never used to cry this much before.â Your head slowly tilts to the side, as your eyes narrow mockingly at him.
Your not trying to be mean, you swear you were neee this mean before dating him. But thereâs something so addictive about seeing his face get all flush and wet for you.
Youâre not a freak, you just know what you like and how.
He only gets a second to look down before youâre pulling his head back further, forcing out a low moan from him as his face scrunches up in pain.
Maybe in the beginning you mightâve let go of his hair and apologized, but by now you know that, that isnât actually what he wants.
He wants you to grab his hair roughly, to degrade him as he presses up against your leg trying (and falling) to hide just how hard heâs getting just from your words alone.
You swear when you first met him he was never this easy. Sure he was a bit whiny but now thatâs all that he does.
You watch his tongue dart out for a second as he licks away a stray tear, nose all wet and pink from sniffling, eyes glossy. âI-Iâm sorr-ahh~â
His nails dig deeper into your thigh, as you pull his head further back, but his grip almost immediately loosens as quickly as it tightened.
You sigh before letting go of his head, and it immediately falls back into your lap, like some sorta magnet getting pulled back in. His crocodile tears soak your thigh, and you have to stop yourself from physically rolling your eyes.
âIâm sorry-â He sniffles, before a shaky breath escapes him, and then a giggle as he hugs your legs just a bit tighter, before heâs burying his face on top of your thighs. You do have to physically stop him from trying to put his face in between your thighs though.
You watch as he starts to rub his face up against your thigh, and in between sniffling he would let out small girlish giggling as if finding this all so very amusing.
But who could blame him? Heâs right where he wants to be. He is his fatherâs son after all. You seen his father, and youâve seen how differently his father acts around his mother. It was honestly quite a startling experience.
You watch as he slowly moves down, lowering himself further in-front of you, as he starts kissing your ankle, mumbling something under his breath. The exact same breath that tickles your skin with every giggle that escapes him.
If you had more energy youâd probably kick him away only to pull him back into your arms. You love him, you swear.
~~~~
You donât even flinch anymore when you roll over in bed and find piercing blue eyes staring holes into you anymore.
You simply grab a pillow and shove it in his face. Heâs disturbing your peace after all.
He quickly moves the pillow out the way as a stupid lovesick smile deepen on his face. He throws the pillow over his shoulder and it ends up landing on the floor somewhere.
You blink and heâs right behind you, his arms are already wrapped around you as he presses soft kisses onto your face.
Biting back an annoyed sigh you turn your back to him, to which he only starts to paper the back of your head with kisses, still holding onto you as if youâll fall of the bed if he doesnât.
~~~~
You bite back a laugh as you watch Jerry climb up the skating rink walls. Not that youâre much better, youâre holding onto one of those âSkate Helpersâ things for dear life.
âI thought you said you knew how to skate?â You flash him a grin as soon as heâs finally back on his feet again, to which Jerry flashes you one back.
âI do-oh god-â He almost slips again trying to face you. He awkwardly scoots over to you before taking ahold of your walker, now using it for balance.
âItâs just been a minute.â He finally rasps out, after an awkward minute of trying to find his footing again.
You canât help but shake your head in amusement as you watch the blond occasionally let go of your walker to try and stand up on his own. âUh huh.â
But it doesnât take long for Jerry to get the hang of it, and once he does he starts trying to get you to also let go of the walker as well.
âYou got this babe, trust me, Iâll catch you.â
The reluctance and uncertainty on your face is as clear as day to Jerry, but he doesnât let that stop him from trying.
âYou trust me right?â His head tilts a couple of degrees and that smile he knows you like appears on his face.
He looks warm and inviting, and you donât trust him or his stupid smile. And yet here you go, letting go of your supports just to holds the very exact hands that got you into this mess.
âAh-look at you go.â He smiles as you finally meet him halfway. Your hands now in his, he lets you close the distance, not wanting to ruin whatever balance you did have.
Your knuckles nearly turn white with how tightly youâre holding onto him as he starts to lead you around the empty skating rink.
As of course the rinks empty, you know how much Jerry hates being stared at.
And later when you guys are getting ready to leave, of course Jerry helps you take off your skates. Kneeling down in front of you and holding your feet in place as he unties the laces of the skates he bought you.
As of course he bought you your own pair of skates. It doesnât matter if you stake a lot or if this is the last time you guys do this. He doesnât want you wearing the same skates as some stranger-unless that stranger is him of course.
~~~~
Here you are, dressed up like some so of medieval elf princess while posed up by a waterfall. The problem is that you really hope no one sees you like this.
Thereâs nothing wrong with cosplay, you think itâs an amazing way to express oneâs own creativity and appreciation to certain characters.
The issue is you just donât want someone you KNOW to find you out here with pointy elf ears on and dressed like a victorian girl with your fiance not even a few feetâs away taking pictures of you.
This isnât your usual shoot to say the least. You donât remember the last time someone has had you pose for them, and modeling used to be thing, you used to love it when people took photos of you. Meant they loved looking at you.
Now you canât even stand the sight of a camera.
âI really-and do mean REALLY hope youâre enjoying this Jerry.â
A few steps, not feets, as he would never stand that far away, you can find Jerry with a camera practically glued to his face. And honestly youâre not sure if heâs actually taking photos or just looking at you through the lens out of habit.
âOh Iâm, every last second of itâŚâ You watch as he adjusts something on the camera as he keeps smiling at you.
Every now again heâd have you change poses, never anything you wouldnât want to do, as he wants you to be as comfortable as possible. Even though thatâs kinda hard to be when youâre being grinned by some fool with a camera in your face.
But you let him have his moment, just like he lets you have yoursâŚ
~~~~
âIsnât this nice?â
âLovely.â
You slowly spin around, giving Jerry a full view of the outfit you picked out.
Right now you two were at the mall. Not to say youâre a shopaholic or anything, youâre not. Youâre so rich you havenât even worn half the clothes your father has gifted you with. Then again you donât wear or use any of his gifts to begin with.
âI donât know, I donât really like orange on me.â You slow down and approach the mirror again, brushing down the shirt with a small pout.
âThen I donât either.â Jerry watches you sigh and try on another outfit, this one just as pretty on you like the last one.
âI think this is nice, I like how the pants fit me.â You shove your hands into the pocket as you turn your back towards him slightly. âAnd it has deep pockets.â
Jerry softly claps at this as he grins at you. âSold, I love it.â
You eye yourself in the mirror a bit before smiling as well. âI think I love it too.â
~~
You two end up leaving that store only to head to the food court. Of course thereâs no lines as Jerry had the mall closed for the day, just for you.
He even personally stocked the mall with things he knows you would like.
Even though you donât need to order the food, you still enjoy the experience of actually doing so yourself. Even if Jerry could have it all brought to your guys table without even saying a word.
You end up ordering and eating together, listening to Jerry talk about some random comic he read. And you ignore just how eerily silent the mall is, forcing yourself to focus just on Jerry.
~~~~
Jerry sits in the corner of your shared bedroom calmly watching you sleep. He knows he could just join you in bed, but he doesnât feel ready for that just yet.
Thereâs just some habits that die hard.
He doesnât need to watch you through other people anymore, yet he still has people follow you around (now with your knowledge) just to know what youâre doing.
But he could technically just walk up towards you in public now, no need to blend into the crowd and hover somewhere near by. But he enjoys stalking you, he canât help it!!
He doesnât need to wait for you to leave the room to dig through your laundry just to find your freshly worn underwear. He technically could take the ones youâre wearing right now if he asks.
But Jerryâs a freak who canât help but chance the thrill of it all. He enjoys following you, as to him itâs not just some stupid hobby he can quit whenever he wants, itâs his reason for living, his purpose.
Maybe thatâs why you donât say anything when he offers to do the laundry for you. Or why you pretend to not notice him in the corner of your eyes when youâre outside.
Cause you understand him, you know this is just the way he is, something he canât help. But you wouldnât change that for the world. As you do the exact same thing too.
~~~~
CUT!!!
Oh waitâŚI forgot to mention Jerryâs in a cult. Yeahhhh, please read my story for my context, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, thank you :D
BackâŚforwardâŚmasterlistâŚyouâre here 15âŚextra
âOh crud.â
You sigh as your face scrunches up in embarrassment. Jerry watches you turn away as you awkwardly glance between him and your fatherâs very disappointed look.
âIâll see you later JerryâŚâ Your voice trails off as you bid him goodbye and quickly walk away, much to Jerryâs dismay.
He lets out a small sigh before sliding his head back into the car as the window rolls back up. He watches you walk away as the car starts back up moves again. He hates being away from you.
You slow down as you walk up the steps, before you can say anything, Bruce quickly ushers you into the house, followed by Damian.
Bruce lingers by the door for a while longer as he watches the car disappear, before closing the door finally.
Bruceâs sighs as he runs his fingers through his hair neat hair. Honestly it looks like itâs already been tousled a couple million times before you got here.
âWhere were you?â If he was angry he surely didnât show it.
You donât notice how tightly your holding onto Jerryâs coat until you glance down and notice your still wearing it.
Your voice comes out meeker than you meant it to. Honestly, you donât recall the last time you heard yourself sound like this. ââŚOut.â
âOut where, {Reader}?â Bruce doesnât need you to answer to know what youâre going to say. He stops another sigh from escaping his lips as the frown on his lips pull even further down.
âIf youâre going to leave, next time tell someone.â
You glance up but avoid his gaze as you nod your head again. Your face already warming up in embarrassment as you eyes land on Damian who seems a bit too pleased with himself, you donât know why.
âUntil I can trust you to not leave, I want you back home back 5:30, no later.â
School ends at around 3, that only gives you two hours of free time away from the manor. You want to complain but you donât, it could be worst.
âAlso, if you do go out, bring Damian with you from now on.â
âWhat?!â
Bruce already has his hand up, silencing your complaints, once you quieted down he continues.
âIâm fine with you going out by yourself, {Reader} but Iâm worried about you, itâs not like you to just run off like thatâŚalso I heard about what happened at the park.â
Your face drains of color as Bruceâs places a hand on your shoulder with an apologetic but relieved. âWhy didnât you tell me that you got kidnapped by Poison Ivy?â
You donât know what to say, but you have to say something. âI-I didnât,â You quickly pause before continuing, âWho told you that.â
Silence falls over the small group, but it doesnât take you long to find your snitch, as heâs the only person who was there that day it happened.
Damian stands not too far away with his arms crossed, with a very pleased smile on his face. Of course heâd be happy about this. If whenever you go out you have to bring him, heâd be able to control who you hangout with easier.
You donât hear the rest of your father says as you quickly brush off his concern and promises to be more involved with your life.
With the flick of your wrist you escapes his hold on your shoulders, passing by Damian you send the green eyed boy a glare before storming upstairs.
Itâs one thing to be given a curfew and a completely different thing to now have to have your younger brother follow you around.
You quickly make your way into your room and close the door behind yourself. And for a second you just stand there, before sliding down your door.
You could see it now, social death, youâll be ostracized. Youâll be the weird girl with her weird brother who she canât live without.
As you sulk, you donât realize that it couldâve been way worse. Damian was trying to get your father to unenroll you from public school all together.
Your only saving grace being that Bruce wanted to see you in the play first, THEN, heâd consider transferring you over.
~~~Timâs POV~~~
God this place was creepy but not in an old creepy house kind of way, but in a way that makes you feel like youâre being watched.
Him and Dick ended up splitting up somewhere between the library and Jerryâs room. Now traveling alone, Tim ventures further into the house.
Every now and again heâd see a bug scurry out their path, but they never completely left the room. Actually it seemed like they were being followed by them.
And the further they went, the more bugs started to appear.
Eventually they make it to the buzzing door that you and Jerry had originally went into and that Cass avoided.
Tim doesnât know why, but he feels like thereâs something behind the door, orâŚsomeone.
He hesitates before moving to open the door, but the second his hand touches the doorknob he gets swarmed by the bugs.
He tries brushing them off but there was to many of them. There wasnât enough time to call out for Dick, and even if there was, he was to far into the house be heardâŚ
~~~Dickâs POV~~~
A shiver runs over him out of the blue. He feels like somethings wrong but canât tell what. He stops looking at one of the many family portraits, as he exits the library.
But before he opens the door he notices a shadow passing from underneath the door. âTim?â Dick waits a few seconds before leaving the library.
Glancing down the hallway, Dick is greeted to the same emptiness as before. He softly sighs before exiting the library.
âI really need to start sleeping moreâŚâ
Dick starts to walk in the direction he last saw Tim walking in. Already mentally preparing the speech heâs going to give on how âJerryâs just a normal, but weird, rich kid.â And not a threat.
But the further he goes, the more bugs he starts to notice. The first one definitely startles him, but after the fifth he starts to notice a patternâŚ
Clearly they shouldnât be here, but he has to continue on, who knows what happening with Tim.
Dick passes by the buzzing door, but abruptly stops once five steps away at the sound of a creaking doorâŚslowly back tracking he eyes the now cracked open door.
WeirdâŚwas this door always open? He swears when he first passed it a second ago. When he opens the door, he doesnât touch the doorknob. Instead he opens it by the side.
Walking inside he is greeted by almost the same sight as you were. The only difference being that Tim was inside the ant tank, completely knocked out.
âOh my god-â
The door slams shut and Dick is left to face whatever is in the room alone.
~~~Jerryâs POV~~~
As heâs staring out the window of his car, his phone vibrates. Jerry pauses for a second before slowly picking up the phone.
âHello?â
On the other end a very tired and disappointed voice answers. âWhat did I tell you about inviting people over without my knowledge.â
Jerry frowns as he lets his eyes drift back out the window. âNot to-â
âNot to, exactly,â The man sighs again, and Jerry can already see him shaking his head. âIf your mother finds out then guess whoâll get in trouble.â
Jerry starts to blear out the sound of his fatherâs voice as he goes back to thinking about you.
He was so close to having you, but then your family just had to show up and ruin everything, corning him and chasing him through his own home.
Jerry only starts listening again when his father mentions one or better yet, two of your brothers.
âCanât believe youâd let them just walk around and open doors, I mean-â
âWhere are they now?â
âHm?â The voice on the other end quiets down now. The silence was all Jerry needed to hear. With a sigh he changed his direction and heads home.
He canât imagine how you would treat him if he allowed his father to use your brotherâs a bug food.
**Time Skip**
Jerry has never skipped up those stairs faster before. He can already see it now, your brothers already stripped of their hair and fingers, laying bare and slowly being brought further into the ant bed.
Imagine his surprise when he finds his father already standing outside the bug room chewing on his thumb. The exact same nervous behavior he himself has.
His fatherâs eyes immediately falls onto Jerry as a scowl crosses his face. âI tried, I really didâŚyour motherâs waiting for you inside.â
Jerryâs face drains of color as he watches his father step aside to allow him to get to the door.
Slowly walking inside, he finds his mother has already removed them both from the ant tank, both passed out, but still perfectly intake besides a few ant bites here and there.
Nothing that couldnât be played off as a wrong step into an ant bed outside. He stops himself from biting on his own nails now as his mother turns to face him.
Her eyes narrow down on him, cold, and harsh. âWhat have you done.â
~~~
Jerry now has a terrible headache running through his head as he tries to figure out how to make Tim and Dick forget everything they saw.
Not that they saw anything really suspicious, but having bugs jump them isnât normal either.
Jerry stares at Timâs unconscious body for a second before an annoyed sigh escapes his lips.
If only there was something he could do that would seem convincible enough to keep them off his back.
As heâs sulking, the fly from earlier quickly finds its spot back on his shoulder, buzzing something in his ear that makes Jerry stand up straight again.
Tyler.
~~~Tylerâs POV~~~
**School Auditorium**
Right now Tyler was messing around with the lights back stage and making sure they all worked when all of sudden a fly starts buzzing in his face.
He swats it away and goes back to checking the lights. But then the fly comes back, flying in his face, touching his hand.
Eventually Tylerâs get distracted, now no longer focusing on any of his work but instead on trying to get the fly literally anywhere else but in his face.
The fly lands on his journal and quickly slaps his hand down, only to miss by a hair.
âStupid flyâŚâ
Tyler picks up his journal, mumbling under his breath as he starts tracking the fly with his eye.
Now with the journal tightly in his hands he watches as it lands on the door to the stairs in the auditorium.
A smirk creeps up on his face before quickly throws the journal at the fly-only for the door to open, startling the fly as the book knocks Micheal backwards.
âShit-â Michaelâs clutches his face as he quickly lets go of the door, only for it to come swinging back at him, knocking him back into the other room.
Tyler stands there for five seconds, before moving to pick up the book first. Then he goes to check up on Micheal.
Opening the door he finds Micheal leaning up agaisnt the wall next to the door, forehead pressed against the cool wall.
Tyler waits a second before finally speaking up. âSorryâŚâ
Tyler steps closer as he places a hand on Michealâs shoulder. The boy in return glares at Tyler.
But Tyler doesnât flinch away, instead he eyes where a purple bruise is already starting to take shape on Michealâs face.
He lets his eyes moves from Michealâs forehead to the boyâs now watery eyes. Then to the scowl that now plaques the boyâs face.
ââŚI think thereâs some bandages upstairsâŚâ Tyler awkwardly lets go of Michealâs shoulders as he begins to walk upstairs.
Micheal watches for a second before slowly following behind Tyler, now softly rubbing at his forehead with pinched brows.
~~
Tyler places a bandage over the bruise as he stops himself from staring too long, already knowing that Micheal probably would start worrying about the bruise more then.
âYou lookâŚâ Tyler pauses as he looks for the right words. âgood.â
This is what snaps Micheal out of daze, as his scow deepens, hand instinctively coming up to where Tyler hand just been on his face.
âI hope so-why were you even throwing stuff around anyways, huh? You couldâve broken something-besides my beautiful face that is.â
Tyler blinks a few times before bashfully rubbing at the back of his neck, which is truly a sight to see from someone with his looks. A teenage boy as tall as a tree bashfully rubbing his neck at being questioned.
âWell you see, there was a fly-â
âSo you threw a book at it?â
Micheal lets out an exasperated sigh, maybe at how ridiculous he knew the situation was, or at the fact he knew no one would believe him if he told them that the tall quiet guy behind the camera isnât as nonchalant as he seemed.
Micheal glances at the journal now lying off to the side before curiosity flickers in his eyes. Tyler still silently trying to find the words lost in mouth, watches as Micheal picks up his journal and starts flipping through the pages.
âWhat-are you doing.â Tylerâs voice is barely even a squeak, when it does come out. His once brilliant brown skin somehow turning a dull shade of brown as Micheal lets out a series of hums.
He wants to snatch the book out of Michealâs hand, but canât seem to move his feet. Micheal slowly turns around, brows furrowed as he reads over some of the words.
âSo wait-does she know that her brother is actually alive or does she just know that heâs the vigilante that saved her?â
Tylerâs mouth goes dry now as he finally manages to take a step forward, as Micheal quickly steps away to avoid the boyâs hands, causing Tyler to stumble a bit.
âAnd why does everyone all of sudden care about her? Jealous much.â
Tyler can feel himself start to loose feeling in his hands as he watches the back of Michealâs head like a hawk.
âOh, what if you made it to where they forget about her again by accident, like they want to remember her but for some reason canât seem to do so, like some extraterrestrial force is keeping them from acknowledging her.â
âLike me?â
Micheal stops walking now as he turns around so fast it startles Tyler back a couple of feet. Now staring at Tyler with this wide grin and sparkle.
âYes-yes, youâd be the force stopping them from remembering!â
Tylerâs face warms as he lets his hands fall back down at his sides, as he avoids Tylerâs wishful look. He lets his eyes fall onto Michealâs shoulder before his eyes widens in surprise.
The fly was on his shoulder!!! Should Tyler say something? The boys face warms even more now as he tries to focus on what Micheal is saying but canât help but look at the fly.
Just sitting there rubbing its hands together as if it knows Tylerâs dilemma. He shouldnât say anythingâŚhe couldnâtâŚbut this is really bothering him now.
âI donât really care for this Jerry character, I mean if he looks anything like OUR Jerry than I donât know what the main character sees in him-I mean I donât see what {Reader} sees in Jerry either, but clearly beauty is in the eye of beholderâŚâ
Tyler perks up now as if remembering something. âOh uh, yeah, uhâŚâ He leans forward now, catching Michealâs attention now.
âYeahhh, anyways I feel like you should write about the side characters more, I canât tell if theyâre important or not to story-and another thingâŚâ Michealâs voice trails off now as Tylerâs hand slips past his face.
Tyler brushes the fly away with a satisfied smile, but when their eyes meet again, Tyler finds himself at a loss of words. Had Micheal always had such pretty brown eyes before?
~~
At the base of the stairs Kat silently waits, before watching as the fly lands on her shoulder.
Unlike the others she doesnât brush it off, instead she smiles and calls back Jerry. She leaves the stairwell and walks through the auditorium to a much quieter area.
When the phone picks up she places the phone against her ear.
âYeahhh, knowing Tyler he probably gonna have it written by 9pm tonight, so you should know by tomorrow if anything changed, Iâll keep you updated from here.â
~~~Your POV~~~
You had already moved from the floor to your bed, already forgotten about what happened earlier and were now actively doom scrolling on your phone.
The only stop when you here a knock sound through your room. A scoff escapes your lips as you make no moves to get up. Thereâs only two people it can be and right now you rather not have your father tell you that âthis hurt me more than hurts you.â
And right now you donât want to see Damian, I mean he already caused you enough trouble for one day.
But the person behind the door doesnât wait for you to respond as he opens the door anyways.
Tim walks in much to your surprise and dismay. But what really shocks you is the ants bites that litter his once milky white skin.
You find yourself moving to stand quicker than you can even scold him for entering your room. Your mouth hangs open as you try to find something to say but when Tim stops, so do you.
âDonât ask.â
âBut-â
Tim frowns and you continue gawking at him. You canât imagine what couldâve possibly happened to him for this to be the outcome.
Tim sighs as he starts scratching at his arms, where a lot of the bites seem to be. âIgnoring my unruly appearance, I want to give you something.â
You take your hand out as you watch Tim pull out a camera and aâŚmini monitor.
âOkay what Iâm I looking at and why?â
Tim goes back to scratching himself now as his brows furrow. âThe monitor is linked the cameras I put in Jerryâs house, I want you to see the exact same I see.â
You donât panic, you cringe, or get scared when you turn the monitor on and see that the camera is in-fact recording Jerryâs home, his real home this time.
Honestly this isnât the part that makes you pause, the part that has you pausing when you watch as Jerry steps into the frame and the camera immediately gets covered by a whole swarm of bugs you didnât see before.
ââŚâ
At your silence and the constant itchy feeling burning his skin, Tim quickly speaks up again.
âAnd the camera is for your own use, I have a feeling Iâm going to be seeing you out at night moreâŚif you have any questions about anything you can always come in ask me-â
You put the camera down on your desk before pocketing the monitor. And quickly youâre pushing Tim out your room.
âI donât know why youâd think I need any of this-I trust Jerry.â
Tim lets himself end up on the other side of your bedroom door as you close it in his face. He stands there for a few seconds, still scratching at his arm, when you open the door, only to throw a bug bite cream at him, which he catches with ease.
And with that he takes his leave, knowing that he already done his job by planting a seed of curiosity in your mind.
He passes by Damian who at first was brooding by your door but now seems to be glaring holes through him after he had left your room. The same room he wasnât allowed in anymore.
Tim sticks his tongue out at Damian, successfully rage baiting the younger boy, as Damian turns on his heels and storms out of view.
~~~~
You stare at the monitor for longer than youâd like to admit, watching as no matter where Jerry went he would not only look at the camera with disdain but bugs would surround the camera only a few seconds later.
Honestly you donât know how to feel about it. A very big part of you doesnât want to be what your seeing butâŚ
The evidence was as clear as day to anyone with eyes that the bugs werenât just randomly appearing on a whim, but intentionally showing up where Jerry went.
So why did bugs seemingly appear, wherever Jerry went? Was he in trouble or is he controlling them?
The thought alone makes you uncomfortable. What are the chances the guy you talk to is actually some sorta bug controlling meta human.
It would explain a lot about his shy natureâŚand that room full of bugs. Your eyes falls back onto where you had placed the camera Tim had lended you.
As you recall the ant bites that littered his skin you canât help but shiver. What if it happens to you?
But the more you think about it, the less scared you feel, weirdly enough. You get the feeling that whatever happened to Tim, wonât be happening to you any time soon.
You pick up the camera as you weigh it in your hands. Wasnât this the camera Tim used to spy on Bruce back before he was Robin? Why would he lend you this?
~~~~
Dinner wasâŚsomething. Instead of eating dinner alone or just with Damian and Tim, it seemed everyone wanted to you three for dinner again.
If you didnât know any better youâd think this was going to become a regular occurrence. But you knew that wouldnât happen.
At first conversation was light, Dick would crack a joke before asking you something he should technically already know about you before going back talking.
Steph would join in on the joke, and ask you less personal questions but more casual stuff like, âHowâs your day going?â âAnything new with school?â And the one that got a lot of eyes darting was, âHowâs Jerry?â
Sheâs probably the only one at the table who didnât have something agaisnt Jerry. Not because she couldnât tell something was off with him, but because you seemed to be genuinely enjoying your time with him.
Cass obviously said nothing, but she didnât need to, she already is getting all the information she needs just from watching you.
Tim would let out a quiet laugh at whatever Dick would say before turning his attention back to his phone, and occasionally to you. And you would meet his gaze with an even more questioning look, still not sure what he meant about seeing you outside more.
Damian wouldnât let out a single chuckle and would instead focus on you, and try to get you to engage in a conversation with him. Which was easier said than done as you were still bitter about earlier
Bruce sat at the end of the table, quietly watching you all get along. It might not look it, but he is happy. Happy to finally have everyone together and (for the most part) getting along.
The part where it got weird was when everyone got quiet. And all of sudden the conversation shifts away from you.
Honestly you didnât mind the lack of attention, and you were actually quite pleased. But it was kinda of weird.
It wasnât like subtle shift, it was quite sudden. One second Damianâs facing you while telling you about batcow, when all of sudden his brows furrow so tightly that you think itâs gonna actually touch.
Looking around the table you notice heâs not the only one with a conflicted look on their face. Conversations come to a slow stop, and so do movements.
For a second everything quiet, as if someone just hit pause on a show, but then they start moving again.
Damian slowly shifts to sit straighter in his seat, and everyone slowly angles their body away from you.
You watch this whole thing go down until someone seems to finally snap out of their trance.
âWhat was I saying?â Dick pauses for a second as he blinks back to reality and so does everyone else, as if on cue.
The rest of dinner went on like normal. To clarify I donât mean the new normal you were just starting to get to know, but the old normal.
They would start to say something but pause as they remember your there. Sometimes you swear you heard whispering, other times you were absolutely sure they were trying to avoid you over hearing them.
And even after dinner, instead of Damian lingering beside you on your way back to your room, he instead stayed behind.
Itâs weird that you think itâs not normal for him to stay behind anymore. You should be used to him not sticking around for long. All of them really.
I mean they spend a couple of extra hours with you and all of sudden you canât seem to remember they donât like youâŚ
You quietly make your way back to your room, on your way there, tempted to text Jerry or one of your friends, but decided against it.
Instead ending the night off by yourself againâŚ
~~New scene~~
Tyler looks over what he wrote down as a frown pulls at his lips.
**Seems a bit sloppy to just make the family randomly forget about her again.**
His head falls back as it hits the pillow below him, a sigh escapes as he tries to think of a way to fix this. Maybe he should make them remember again?
âWho knew writing a story could be so hard.â he mumbles, still unaware of the consequences of his writing.
Tyler rolls over one more time before sighing again. As he closes his eyes, an idea pops into his head.You know, we donât talk about your mother nearly enough.
BackâŚforwardâŚmaster listâŚyouâre here 14âŚextra
Once your feet hit the ground youâre immediately looking around. It looks like youâre in some sorta escape tunnel.
Jerry brushes his hands off after letting go of the ladder. You turn to look at Jerry, confused and in awe.
You thought the key would unlock to some sorta shed or another box, not a tunnel.
âSo, where does it go?â
Jerry looks up as his eyes land on you again, he quickly straightens up now as he awkwardly rubs at the back of his neck.
âOh, no where specialâŚjust some rooms that so happened to run under Gotham.â
âUnder Gotham?! Like if I walk through this tunnel I could possibly end up on the opposite side of Gotham?â
Jerry glances back up as if sensing something before quickly looking back at you.
âYeah-uh what to walk around, Iâm sure thereâs something interesting we can find down here.â
âUhh,â
You look away as you look back around again. There doesnât seem to be anything interesting down here, and strangely this place has no bugs in it, you donât even see any cobwebs anywhere either.
But you canât help but get the feeling that you whatever lays upstairs may not be better than down here. So following your gut, you nod your head in agreement.
âSure, do you think thereâs a tunnel that leads somewhere close to my home down here?â
Jerry shakes his head no as he lets out his usual nervous laugh. âNo, I donât think so-if there is then I donât know where it is-I barely know these tunnels as it is.â
You hum at this as you two start walking, Jerry leads the way as he occasionally looks up to look at the signs plaster at every two-way to ensure you two donât get lost.
Or maybe heâs just doing it to look like he doesnât know the way, who knows.
**POV switch**
He doesnât even know what heâs doing anymore, nothings going the way he planned it too.
Jerry glances over his shoulder at you, you were walking beside him and actively taking in your surroundings.
Not like thereâs much to see, especially when thereâs no bugs inside.
He looks away as he bites at his lips out of habit. A habit he got from his father. A man who had almost every nervous habit in the book.
He shouldnât have brought you down here. What if his mother finds out and tells the others?
What if his aunt finds out about you being here. Who knows what sheâd do to you in place of your mother.
Jerry instinctively brings his thumb closer to his lips as he starts to chew on it but is quickly stopped as your hand comes up to pull his fingers away.
His eyes land on your hand before landing on your face.
âYou shouldnât bite at your finger nailsâŚâ Your voice trails off and you slow to stop, so of course he stops with you.
He watches as you begin to inspect his hand, moving to rub his hand in between yours. He doesnât know why youâre doing this but he doesnât stop you either.
âI donât know how, but I keep forgetting how soft your hands are.â You look up at him before cracking a smile.
Jerry canât help the way his heart had fluttered or how instinctively held your hand just a bit tighter because of it.
He doesnât notice when you two start âaimlesslyâ walking again, hand and hand, or when a fly lands on his shoulder until he starts to hear the buzzing in his ear.
At first he was just gonna brush it off his shoulder, not wanting to hear whatever it was going to tell him but at rhetorical mention of someone being in the tunnels, he stops himself.
Who could possibly be in the tunnels right now? Well it didnât matter, people use these tunnels to get somewhere all the time.
Jerryâs about to brush the fly away when it quickly mentions Damianâs name this time, and his hand immediately tightens around yours again.
**Your POV**
You notice when Jerryâs hand tightens around yours and how his eyes seemed to hardened with this distant look, like heâs looking out to something that you cannot see.
His expressions softens again as he slows to a stop by another letter. A shy smile appears on his face. âI think this is our stop.â
Looking up you see a sign by the latter with the words GOTHAM PARK on it. So thatâs why he kept trying to get you to go the park with him.
Once you get to the top and open up the man cover you notice you guys ended up not too far from the fountain that you guys had originally met at.
Now out the tunnel you canât help but shiver as the wind blows.
When did it get so dark?
**Jerryâs POV**
âItâs quite lateâŚâ He looks up at the sky as the fly continues to whisper in ears the location of your family members.
âHow about I call us a uber and just take you home.â
You glance over at Jerry before sighing and deflating a bit. You had kinda wanted to spend some more time with him, but you did ditch the gala so you probably should head home now.
âYeahhh, I guess youâre right.â
Fixing Jerryâs coat further onto your shoulders, you follow Jerry as heads for the streets again.
He throws glances in your direction occasionally as he intertwined your hands together.
When you turn to look at him, his eyes instinctively look away as his face warms up. He doesnât know why you make him feel this way.
Why he only seems to feel anything when heâs around you.
Even before he knew what love was, he knew that you two would be together. It didnât need to be romantic, he wouldâve happily accepted something more platonic.
But when he saw how lonely you were at the manor he couldnât accept just being your friend anymore.
He didnât want to be just another friend to you. He wants to be special, someone who made you feel seen in a way no one else did.
He wanted you to love him in a way you never loved anyone else.
He wants to be your everything, and if he was your friend, would you even consider as such?
Would he still get the guilty pleasure of being able to press your lips together?
God he so badly wants to kiss you, but somehow your family just keeps getting in the way.
He still mad about the whole project thing. Sure you guys got a good grade on it, but he technically never got the chance to actually be alone with you thanks for Damian.
And now Damianâs stalking you two down. He doesnât even know how Damian knows where you two are, which is extremely concerning.
Heâs sure he got the tracker that Tim had placed on you off like-hours ago.
He knows thereâs nothing on him, he checked multiple time during this whole encounter.
Jerryâs tempted to check you for extra trackers but he canât. If he alerts you of the fact that your family is tracking you, who knows howâd you react.
He really doesnât want to make you uncomfortable but heâs like 99% sure youâd be more upset with him if he didnât tell you.
As you two slow by the side of the road, Jerry finally gets the courage to speak up.
**Your POV**
âYou might have a tracker on you.â
You look away from the car slowing down in front of you two as your eyes land on Jerry.
âHm?â
~~~Back with the Others~~~
The second they entered they were greeted by Cass who stood in front of them frowning. âShe left.â
Dick immediately deflates at this as a sigh escapes his mouth. Heâs getting more worried by the second. So you WERE here but now youâre not?
How did the miss you?!
Tim looks around the entrance for a bit before letting his eyes land on Cass.
âSo if sheâs gone, why are you still here?â
Cassâs frown deepens at this as recalls how she had followed you and Jerry here, only for you two to disappear the second she entered the room right after you guys.
Her silence is there only answer as they all end up turning to leave together now. Cass following behind them quietly.
But Tim doesnât move from his spot, instead he turns to give the others a confused look. âWhere are you guys going?â
Steph stops first as she glances over her shoulders to throw Tim a look. Why was he acting so weird today?
âHome? {Reader} probably already there anyways, and itâs late, Iâm sure that even if sheâs not home right now sheâll probably be heading home.â
The others nod their heads in agreement with this, and Dick seems to relax a bit at Stephâs words, maybe still a bit disappointed he didnât get the chance to talk to you, but now a little less worried.
Dick: -15
You probably had just got bored and decided to leave the gala to go hangout with Jerry. Thats not unusual for a teenager to do, so why should he be worried.
Tim seems a bit unconvinced though, not that you didnât go home, heâs sure you did. But he doesnât want to leave just yet.
Heâs been watching Jerry for days now, and he has never seen Jerry come here before today.
So did he live alone in that apt and this was his actual home?
Or was it all just a set up to keep him from figuring out where he actually lived?
If so the he must know about the cameras than, or maybe he doesnât know is hiding at that apt to hide where he lives from someone else?
âEven if sheâs not still here, donât you guys want to learn more about what kind of person Jerry is?â
The others glance at each other before looking back over at Tim who was already starting his descent further into the house.
Dick was the first follow after Tim, not wanting the boy to walk aloneâŚand maybe there is some small chance that he did want to know more about Jerry.
Cass lingers by the door, already having searched the whole house. Now there were some rooms she didnât enter but thatâs because she knew whatever was on the other side wasnât for her to see yet.
Steph sighs as she looks over at Cass with a displeased look, this was genuinely starting to bother her. Why did all of sudden everyone want to start
âTheyâre weird right? Iâm not crazy Iâm? When did we start stalking {Reader}âs friends?â
Cass can only shrug her shoulders as she watched Steph turn to leave. As unlike the others, Steph trusts you to be able to protect yourself and make good friends on your own.
Also she isnât trying to have all of your attention.
Steph: -15
Even though she doesnât trust Jerry, she knows youâre smarter than people give you credit for. So even though she doesnât know what you see in Jerry sheâs willing to turn the other cheek and not stoop to the others level.
Cass takes one last look at the staircase that the others had just went up before following after Steph.
Cass got all the information she needed from this place and sheâs sure in the very near future sheâll be getting the rest of the information she needs.
So the group spilts into two, one decides to leave and head back to manor and wait for you to show up on your own, while the other decides to search for either more information or you.
Now you may be wondering where Bruce is in all of this, and the answer simple. Heâs still at gala, absolutely confused where all of his children disappeared off too.
But since youâre all gone, for now heâs going to let it go, just until this gala is over at least. Then heâll question where you all went.
~~~Jerryâs POV~~~
He watches as you give him a weird look before sighing in annoyance. He watches as you shuffle to your weight onto your left leg just as the car comes to a stop in front you guys.
He awkwardly scratches at his neck before quickly opening the car door for you, watching as you slide into the car without a second thought, and he follows, closeting the door behind you both.
But as soon as he turn to look at you, youâre already taking off your shoes.
âWait-what are you doing?â Jerry peers over you as he watches you peel back the padding in your shoes and pull out about tracker.
He doesnât know rather he should feel awe at how fast you found it or fear at just how fast you found it.
Maybe you do notice more than he thoughtâŚ
~~~YOUR POV~~~
You put your shoe back together before sliding it back on. You slide the tracker into your pocket before sitting back up right.
You canât believe Tim would put another tracker on you. You already found the first tracker he placed on you.
What?
You didnât know {Reader} already found the tracker? Of course she did, why would you think she didnât find it?
~~Flashback~~ (Chap6)
**New Scene Unlocked!!**
âWait.â
Turning around you spot Tim coming out from one of the rooms near the entrance. âBefore you goâŚâ He pulls you into an unexpected hug.
Unlike Dickâs hugs it felt much stiffer and more transactional. He lets go of you and then just walks off. âHave fun.â
ââŚâ You watch him disappear upstairs before leaving the house. âWeirdâŚâ
As you exit the manor you miss the figure in the window watching you go.
As Bruce turns away from the window you throw a glance over your shoulder as you watched him walk away. Probably pretending to not see you leaving.
You scoff under your breath, as if feigning indifference to your fatherâs lack of attention towards you, would make you feel better.
It didnât.
As you walk past the gate, the butterfly that Poison Ivy had gifted you started fluttering around you.
At first you thought it was just trying to be close to you, then you started noticed how it seemed to be attacking a very specific spot on your backâŚ
You end up slowing down and stopping in a lonely alleyway, where you end up patting yourself down only to find a tracker.
At first you had thought some creep had placed it on you so you were going to throw it away immediately.
But then you realized you could just find the culprit yourself and have them arrested to prevent this from happening to some other unsuspecting girl.
So you placed it in your pocket and kept walkingâŚ
~~(Chap 8)~~
âYou told me remember?â
This makes you pause, as you donât remember telling him about heading to the park. But by taking another glance at Tim you notice him glancing back at Jerry as if trying to suggest somethingâŚ
Now originally you had brushed it off.
The fact that he knew where you were as heâs Red Robin, he works with Batman, he works with your father.
Why would Tim want to put a tracker on you of all people. But you didnât really have enough time to consider the possibility that maybe Tim was the one who put the tracker on you as Damian immediately grabbed at your attention and pulled you away.
Which after getting crammed between your two brothers for long enough that day, you had enough time to really question how BOTH of them knew where you were.
Maybe they came together and both wanted to see what Poison Ivy was doing? If so then why did they not go after her immediately after confirming you were fine?
They left you before, so why now did it matter to stay beside you? It doesnât help how even now youâve been noticing them lingering around your stuff whenever you turn your back on them.
You may not see everything but you can pick up on most suspicious behavior traits, especially such dramatic ones like these.
~~Recap over~~
You let out another sigh as you turn to give Jerry an apologetic look. You canât help but feel bad for pulling the poor boy into all of this mess. If their putting trackers on you, imagine what their doing to Jerry.
âI know this must be extremely weird for you, this actually happens more than you would expect.â
âFamous parentsâŚâ You mumble out as you frown and turn away, awkwardly fiddling with the tracker in your hand, already planning on what to do with it now that you found it.
Jerry awkwardly scratches at his neck again, probably because he thinks youâre weird now. I mean whose brother puts a tracker on them?
You donât look up from the tracker now as Jerry continues staring you down, and you pretend to not notice by fidgeting with the tracker.
âDid youâŚdid you know it was on you from the start?â Jerryâs voice came out soft as he asked this.
You a bit confused as to why heâs still talking to you, look up before shaking your head no. As you didnât know, not before he told you, which you donât know how he knew but at this point you donât know anything it seems.
âOhâŚâ Jerry looks away at this, he glances out the window as if considering something, and you look away too.
For you this has gotten a whole lot more awkward. Just like always, your brothers have somehow managed to ruin your day without even trying.
~~Jerry POV~~~
Jerry doesnât know what to say.
Well he is happy now that you just confirmed you didnât even notice it on you. If you just now noticed this tracker then you couldnât have noticed anything he has done before hand.
He feels relief course through his body as he looked out the window. But your voice is what brings him out of his trance.
âCan youâŚtell me more about the key?â
Jerryâs gaze hardens, not at you, never at you.
He could always just lie and tell you a made up story about how the key was made, he already knows everything about you and your mother by extension.
His eyes meets your once more as he makes his decision. Heâll tell you the full truth, the truth that your father has tried hiding from you. (Chap 9)
He knows that Bruce is trying to stop you from falling down the same ant hill your mother did. But that was one of Bruceâs biggest mistakes, trying to stop you, especially without telling you why.
So Jerry will tell you, heâll tell you as much as he possibly can in your short time together before you guys arrive back at Wayne Manor, as he knows once he sets foot on the property Bruce will know.
Jerry leans back as he considers where to start and when to stop.
âThe key isnât just for unlock tunnels,â
You sit up a bit straighter at this.
âTheyâre also used as keys to getting into certain places-â
Jerry looks back over at you now.
âHave you watched any of the letters your mother left for you?â
Just by looking at your face he can tell your lost. Which confuses him even more, heâs sure your mother left you a box full of letters and notes that explained everything-she even left you the key for it!
âHave you never opened the box?â
âWhat box?â
âThe one your mother left you?â
~~Your POV~~
How did Jerry know about the box your mother left you? This was getting a bit confusing.
âNoâŚâ
You watch as Jerryâs face falls as he looks away now mumbling things under his breath. At first you didnât understand any of it, but you do catch one word.
âEddie?â Your head tilts to the side which catches Jerryâs attention.
Your brows furrow as if the name flipped a switch in your brain. âHow do you know about him?â
(Chapt 9) &(Chapt 13)
Jerry face falls for a second before he quickly straightens up. âSo you know who Eddie is?â
You nod, and Jerry only frowns even more. If you remembered Eddie then maybe he can figure out where your key and box was.
âThen you should have the letters your mother had left for you,â He looks away as he starts mumbling again about possible outcomes as to why Eddie seemed to have gotten you here yet didnât get the letters here.
You watch as he continues mumbling but eventually you two pull up to the manor and he misses when you step out the car, only breaking from his trance when your voice cuts through his mumbling.
âWell thank you for taking me out Jerry, sorry aboutâŚâ
You wave the tracker around, before letting an awkward chuckle escape your lips before a sigh.
Jerry quickly scoots over to the side of the car youâre standing by as a frown crosses his lips.
âNo itâs okay, really, I understand more than you could ever know.â Jerry shyly looks away now as he rubs at the back of his hand. âI mean since weâre here, maybe we could finally watch Beetlejuice together.â
You perk up at this as if finally remembering something. âYeah! I almost forgot about that-â
As you stand back, giving him room to exit the car he canât help but look behind you. And heâs glad he did so before getting out the car as behind you, standing on the porch was a very upset Damian and even more displeased Bruce.
Jerry doesnât care about messing with any of your siblings, but he knows his limits, and with the way Bruceâs eyes narrowed down at him was enough to have Jerry finally back up.
You watch as Jerry lets go of the car door and slides back into his seat, his frown growing again.
âNever mind, I can see youâre busyâŚâ
Confused you follow his gaze only to meet your fatherâs disappointed look.
âOh crudâŚâ

**Back With You and Eddie**
Not only did you guys have to land early because the plane apparently did NOT have enough fuel, Eddie also ended up having to hide you guys from some owl mask wearing freaks.
Luckily for you guys, you landed in Metropolis, which isnât too bad, I mean is it Gotham, no, but itâs near Gotham, so you guys have to be somewhat close to Gotham right?
As long as he can get you onto Wayne property he can finally rest easy. Until then you two are-
âGoing on a roadtrip.â
You stare at the bus tickets in Eddieâs hand as your hold on your (kid size, mom and daughter matching) suitcase tightens a bit and so did your grip on the beetle in your hand.
Howâd you guys from flying to riding on a public bus.
Youâve never been on the bus before, but if what your mom says about them is true, then you donât think you want to go on it at all.
âRoadtrip?â Your head tilts to the side, as the bows your mother had placed in your hair before you had left, moves with you.
Eddie smiles as he nods his head. âYup, and the bus leaves in a few minutes so,â He scoops you up without a word and picks up your suitcase as he heads for the bus.
âItâs going to be fun {Reader}, didnât you say you always wanted to go on a roadtrip across Europe?â
You pout as your tiny legs barely scrap the ground from where youâre being held. âNo?â
âReally?â Eddie glances at you, as his sunglasses lowers, before he hums. âMustâve been your mother then, she always did like to talk about her plans for upcoming trips.â
âWhere is she?â Your hold tightens on your plushie as you frown. âHas she called you yet? I miss her.â
Eddie watches you deflate as you at the thought of your mother. And honestly he doesnât know how to answer without mentioning the truth.
But a nine year old canât possibly understand death, can they?

I didnât come here for Jerry but he is mine now you canât have him back!!
૮â Ë â¤ Ë âá
I was just worried that this would be like the Jason Todd vote and that we might accidentally kill Jerry.
Look at that option.
âGet rid of him and his stupid blonde hairâ
I feel my fear was reasonable.
Well if the hate vote did winâŚyou would get the bad ending for sure. But because the like vote won I guess your chance of getting the good ending has risen :)
I mean he wouldnât have diedâŚthat wouldâve been a separate vote if get rid of him had won. I wouldâve let you guys pick his fate.
I donât know what my exact feelings for Jerry are in LCA but I donât think you can remove him.
I need to take some time and reread the chapters but I do like him. Having another yandere interested in reader, someone the Batfam doesnât already have a contingency plan for is great.
I donât think I have seen many other neglected yandere Batman stories that has a character like Jerry. Someone mysterious and powerful (? Seems like his family has a court of owls situation) that holds the same or more devotion then the family.
Donât get rid of our blonde boy!!!
Let us kiss him! ( Preferably outside of a bug basement. )
I know this isnât a question but I just really liked so Iâm just gonna answer it anyways :D
ExtraâŚLights! Camera! Action!
Spoiler Alert!!
I know i probably donât need to explain it as my story should do all the explaining for me but, Jerryâs literally meant to be the answer to all of {Reader}âs unsaid answers.
She may not have questions now, but the more the bat-fam starts to smother her, and the more secrets comes out about her mother and why Bruce decided to hide information from her comes to light. The only person sheâll be able to turn to, will be Jerry.
Without him sheâd have no one on her side.
Not saying Tyler, Kate, and Michael arenât on her side, they are. The difference is that they donât know anything. Jerry knows everything.
He took learning about {Reader} very seriously. Just because the Bat-family isnât {Reader} doesnât mean they shouldnât be studied as well.
But in short, theyâre all trying their best but sometimes even your best isnât good enough to change things.
And Jerryâs family does have a Court of Owls situation going on.
Trust me when I say this that tunnel will come back in your time of need. Having a back up exit is always a smart move.
Iâve also noticed that not a lot of stories with characters similar to Jerry. Now Iâm not saying there arenât any stories with romance lead characters for the reader in this genre.
Im just saying, if you took them out of the equation would it truly affect the story? Thats why when I was making Jerry I made him such an important character.
I didnât want anyone to read this story and think to themselves.
âHere goes the filler character, the character whose only job is to extend the story by a couple of sentences.â
I wanted him to be more than that, also I feel like not enough of this story gives us a more submissive love interest.
Like why do they always have to get so violent to get their way. What if they donât want to force you to marry them. What if they want you to ask them? Why they always got to be the top.
The batfam and Jerry are on two very different spectrums.
Also, still about Jerry.
He may say heâd be fine sticking by your side even if youâd only see him as a friend, and heâd be lying. He will not accept the friend-zone, and will do everything in his powers to try wooing you.
But itâs okay to not like Jerry, you didnât come here for the romance, you came here to be cuddled to death by the Batfamily.
I understand that.
Bruce does in fact have a contingency plan set out for Jerry though. Even before you guys got introduced to him.
Bruce actually has a contingency plan for everyone in Jerryâs extended family. He knows actually what kind of people they are.
And yeah, thatâs it.
I only set up that poll to see just how much I should raise the {Reader}âs love meter :p
The more I read about Hal the more I realize why his mom didnât have him in the room while she was on her death bed. Broâs stressing me out and all im doing is flipping a page.
Walking off as if he didnât just crash a plane worth more than his car, apt, and his shoes đ
damn props to the reader in Lights! Cameras! Action!! theyâre so much better than me cause if my siblings acted like that (especially with the chopping up the plushie flashback in the most recent chapter) I know for a fact I would ignore them and only speak to them to insult them or to be a petty asshole
What can I say, Reader isnât just a great actor but amazing at controlling her emotions.

So far how much to do you like Jerry so far, and if you donât like him tell me why in the comments, (Totally wonât use this info to base my next chapter off of.
DO NOT GO INTO THE SECRET PASSAGE IN THE BUG ROOM!
Listen, I know you are not that close with your family and he has the answers to a mystery in your life but that is not a good move.
You love him 45%
At least tell your friends were you are!
Loved the chapter and I totally understand if Dami keeps us in the manor because Jerry is being sketchy and scaring me a bit right now. Dami hit 100% can that go back down or have we lost him?
I donât know yet, I havenât decided. Just know {Reader} is gonna be under even more surveillance after this
