So Dooku wanted to break away from traditional Jedi ideals but was also never taught how to connect as more than student and teacher so he got Qui-Gon and kind of panicked and went hey you know what bonds people? So Qui-Gon was taught with the constant contradiction of everyone around him being like hey this is how you should be doing this and then having his Master turn around and go WRONGGGG LOLOL!!! and watching his Master descend into QAnon conspiracy theories and then Qui-Gon decides “ok well I will take what I can get from this whole freedom of thought thing and leave the QAnon aspect behind.” Except then Qui-Gon turned into the Order’s weedsmoking libmaxxing opposite to Dooku’s right wing xenophobic tendencies. And then Anakin gets Ahsoka and is completely normal. Just entirely normal. No power struggle. No daily political debates at dinner.
