i honestly dont remember at this point if father john misty has done any like actual bad shit or if i just hate him so much because he is the gleaming portrait of rewarding white male mediocrity

if we’re including dumb shit, he played as part of the lineup for a local radio station’s birthday show and instead of playing any actual material, he played some light improv for like two cumulative minutes and gave MULTIPLE 10+ minute long speeches about how people feel entitled to entertainment (that they paid for) and expect him to play a show “in front of a battleship, man” (the USS New Jersey, a decommissioned WWII battleship, is permanently moored on the Camden waterfront where it serves as a museum)
