I participated in a one-page comic contest a couple months back. The theme we had to follow was déjà vu, so of course my first instinct was to model my story around historical fantasy time loops 😊

For the formatting of the comic, I took inspiration from medieval illuminated manuscripts and tarot.

Trying to line up the hoop every time would’ve been a nightmare, and I had a lot of ugly fabric puckering, so I just masked them onto a blank fabric square in photoshop

It took me about a month to stitch everything. The animation itself is only five drawings, so I stitched five pieces plus a test piece.
