TRUTH SERUM - MY MUSE HAS TO ANSWER ANY AND ALL QUESTION REGARDLESS OF WHAT IT IS.
Please preface questions with âTruthâ
souloutofphaseâ:
ââŚI dont think you did anything wrong.â Lewis said softly. âYoure trying to help. ThatsâŚthats better then what I was doingâŚâ
âIs it bad that im sort of relieved that he got riled up? He had been soâŚ.so passive since I found him. But hesâŚhes still got a fire in him.â A ghost with no drive would eventually fade out. If arthur faded outâŚ..heâd be alone again.
Arthur shrugged. âAt least you kept him from wandering too much. Not ideal, but⌠there are things out there thatâd probably love to chomp on a spirit. Here might be under shitty circumstances, but at least he can be around someone who cares.â He continued his fingerâs journey, up to brush at his hair, tugging on a few strands once or twice.
Then he pushed towards the front door. âI donât think itâs bad, though. To answer your question. Having some energy means heâs still fighting and might find a reason to stay and keep going. I justâŚ.worry that if he keeps going that route, whatâll happen to him, though.â
âI noticed he doesnt have an anchor...Do you think he lost it? or just doesnt have one....yet.â Lewis frowned. He wondered if in some ways arthur was still âformingâ. It might explain why he was missing memorys. âIm just...if hes not a stable ghost....how can I help make sure he turns out ok? Ive already made it so he wont trust me...â
"Something wrong, Arthur?"
"wrong?....I dont know. Guess I feel a bit off today." Arthur shrugged, the strange little ball of energy that had been floating near him, fading away into nothing. "Why do you ask?"
souloutofphaseâ:
âNot really, noâŚI think its happened once or twice while I was still in the woods, butâŚit hadnt happened in a while.â He said with a shrug. âIt doesnt seem to really do anything though.â Arthur frowned, hesitating as he bit his lip for a moment. âI dont really have anything on my mindâŚ.thats kinda the problem.â
âAh... I see... well so long as itâs not doing any harm.â
She raised an eyebrow at Arthur, âHow is not having anything on your mind a problem?â
âI dunno...it could be. I dont know what it is.â Arthur admitted. He sighed. âI guess im just....feeling frustrated about how little I know. But....I didnt really care for a long time that I...didnt know things.â He said as fidgeted with the hem of his shirt
souloutofphaseâ:
âHesâŚfine. Hes justâŚ.really quiet most of the time.â Lewis said as waved his hand a formed a purple towel out of a puff of fire and handed it to the other. âIm notâŚsure how much hes told you about things. About how he is.â Or possibly about his previous attack on Arthur. Maybe arthur trusted this odd lookalike more then him.
Fine. That doesnât sound promising, not in the least. Mono takes the towel and starts patting down and wonât up the excess. Lewis sounded oddly⌠stressed. If something did happen, then Arthur could tell him, until then.-
âNot much, Iâve only spoken to him once. He seemed a bit depressed the last time we talked. Quiet makes sense for the most part, â
His feet are as clean as the would be. Mono straightens up and folds the towel in his hands. âAre you alright, sir?â
âHmm? Me?âŚYeah, im fine. OrâŚiâll be alright.â Lewis sighed.
âI think youre right though, that he does seemed depressed. Hard not to be when you a ghost I suppose.â He said before knocking on the door to Arthurs room. After getting a quiet barely audible response he opened the door. âSomeones come to visit you Arthur.â Arthur glanced over from where he had been sitting on a ledge by the window, staring outside. ââŚ.visit me?â
Mono frowns at that. Not that he blamed Lewis for being⌠distant. They didnât know each other yet, and he didnât want to cross his hosts boundaries. No, thatâd be rude and unnecessary and he did want to see arthur. âYouâre right, its hard to fight out when youâre an undead. I deal with it a lot.â
He bites his lip and straightens up. Resisting the urge to peer in and see what arthur was doing.
One of his deadbeats - small and hardly big enough to rival the size of his finger - peaks out from under monoâs hair. It cheeps at the unfamiliar place and creeps out to float next to monoâs head. Mono lightly clicks his teeth for the littlebeat to go back.
âYeah, he said you two talked before?â Lewis said as he stepped into room slightly. âOh....yeah once before...not for very long.â Arthur said eyeing the other in the door way.

souloutofphaseâ:
ââŚI think thats a good idea.â Lewis agreed. He didnt think they were getting any further with arthur right now. He was shutting down and seemed to have a hair trigger to being angered. He knew the feeling well. He sighed and move to follow him to the door. He rubbed at his eyes lightly. He wasnt going to cry. Even though he knew this was all his fault. Arthur was so angry because he had tried to hurt him. He had every right to be, but now he was pretty much refusing help because he didnt trust anyone.
Arthur moved out quickly, and continued down the stairs. Distance seemed to help as he took the stairs back down, unsure what he even wanted to do now. His shoulders sagged with each step he took.
ââŚ.Sorry. For pushing back like that. Didnât help much, and I know heâs in aâ not exactly stable state.â He moved into the hall, not looking at Lewis. He rubbed at his neck staring towards the door. âWasnât the time to get emotional about it. He feels how he feels.â
â...I dont think you did anything wrong.â Lewis said softly. âYoure trying to help. Thats...thats better then what I was doing...â
âIs it bad that im sort of relieved that he got riled up? He had been so....so passive since I found him. But hes...hes still got a fire in him.â A ghost with no drive would eventually fade out. If arthur faded out.....heâd be alone again.
"Something wrong, Arthur?"
"wrong?....I dont know. Guess I feel a bit off today." Arthur shrugged, the strange little ball of energy that had been floating near him, fading away into nothing. "Why do you ask?"
One eyebrow raised when the ball of energy faded from where it seemed to be resting along his chest, âAh... suppose that is just normal for you then?â She didnât really have any room to judge on that front.
She just gave him a shrug, âYou just seem like you have something on your mind.â
âNot really, no...I think its happened once or twice while I was still in the woods, but...it hadnt happened in a while.â He said with a shrug. âIt doesnt seem to really do anything though.â Arthur frowned, hesitating as he bit his lip for a moment. âI dont really have anything on my mind....thats kinda the problem.â
You donât want to leave LewisâŚ? After everything heâs done to you?
"...what has he done? Sure he threatened me and pissed me off. But he at least seems over the threatening me bit..." Arthur said with a shrug. "Unless....unless he did something before we died. But I dont remember so...guess it doesnt matter."
Why are you frustrated? Wanna tell a buddy?
"Why wouldnt I be? Im attack for what turns out to be no reason. Then Im pestered by people I dont know, to remember things I cant." Arthur huffed. "But.....the most annoying thing is I just.....dont want to leave...." He said softly.
"....Dont tell Lewis I said that"
Remembering something?
"probably not. I never do. I just get a headache for the effort." He said looking back out the window.

You look angry
"Thats just my face." He said before letting out a sigh and trying to relax himself. "Im just....frustrated I guess..."
"Something wrong, Arthur?"
"wrong?....I dont know. Guess I feel a bit off today." Arthur shrugged, the strange little ball of energy that had been floating near him, fading away into nothing. "Why do you ask?"
Theres a rumbling
Lewis is off somewhere else and Arthur has some time alone
souloutofphaseâ:

souloutofphaseâ:
Arthur was starting to bristle again before Lewis interrupted. âStop, we dont need anyone comparing who has things better or worse. It doesnt matter.â Things had just calmed down, he wasnt going to let Arthur get all riled up again. âWhat are you, my mom?â Arthur huffed, but didnt press the matter. He was metally exhausted and at this point wanted to just be left alone to go back to staring out the window. He was tempted to just leave. Lewis didnt seem like he was going to try and destroy him now, so he could probably just leave.
Arthur didnât answer. So this Arthur didnât like getting called out. He could feel the agitation rise when he pointed out their shit sucked different with sarcasm. As if the guy hadnât been agitated and sarcastic a few times this whole talk. Maybe it was yet another sore spot. Just like the first response, when he pointed out he was moving goals and sounded scared.
He wondered if that was the memory, the trauma, or just this Arthur in particular, since all their personalities seemed to vary pretty often between place. Probably a mix of all three.
Instead of answering he stood up and moved towards the door to the room. A few comments cycled through his mind, but he kept them from leaving. He was just irritated and he knew it. And Arthur had decided his afterlife was shitty, and didnât want to do anything about it for now. He didnât want to be pushed, he wanted to sulk because why should he care when he was sure nothing could change, or didnât want it to.
And there wasnât much point in talking to a wall. He needed space. âWe should take a break. You got the point that Iâm you but different. So Iâll see if I can find anything thatâll help.â
â...I think thats a good idea.â Lewis agreed. He didnt think they were getting any further with arthur right now. He was shutting down and seemed to have a hair trigger to being angered. (im getting tempted to either ditch this blog or do something to drastically change it. Because I think this is the most boring Arthur ive written :V)
souloutofphaseâ:
âYoure alive, soâŚisnt that better? You could be like me. Dead. With nothing and no one.â Arthur shrugged. âI said I dont care about anything, not that im happy being dead.â The living could at least try and change things. He felt stuck and he knew there was no point to trying to change things anymore.
âYeah, because knowing just what you lost and still being alone is so much better.â He canât keep the bitterness out of his voice. His arms cross and he looks at the wall. âOur issues are different, but theyâre both shitty, Arthur.â
Heâd rather be in Arthurâs shoes. Being a ghost as a small price to pay if they still were here. At least then heâd have a choice whether to see them or not and reconnect. But it wasnât worth saying when he knew that if he was actually in Arthurâs shoes, alone, forgotten, lost in the woods and then kidnapped by Lewis⌠he might wish he was alive, too. Or think it was better, without the memories of who and what he lost. It was hard when you didnât know all the outcomes.
