this is definitely my favorite panel of loveless. it’s the way soubi doesn’t see the flowers on the ground and even when he does see them, he asks “garbage?”. we don’t even see his face, just his shoes, and that’s even more heartbreaking – because ritsuka is on the floor, we see his face and his body, and he’s completely hurt. but. he still. asks. “garbage?”

Agatsuma Soubi (Loveless)

Problematic because: "Soubi grew up with an abusive foster father who basically sold him into slavery, and after the guy he was sold to kicks the bucket Soubi is so lost without someone to control him that he attempts to recreate the relationship with the dead guy's kid brother, who is clearly uncomfortable with being forced into the role of "master"." Propaganda: "I find the continuation of the cycle of abuse a fascinating theme in fiction, and the way Soubi passes on his trauma without malice because of the way he was raised to think that's how the world works is excellently written. Also he's very pretty when he's sad and covered in blood after getting his ass kicked by children (this happens often)."
