Ai is such untrustworthy garbage. The only "ai chat" I look at is the automatic google thing and I hate that I even have to see it. It has lied to me about proper fish care advice (which I recognized as suspect) and sometimes is completely contradictory and the only thing it is even a little useful for is finding out the sources where they got the information its trying to regurgitate.

The author of one piece (Oda) said that he draws womens bodies by drawing three circles and an x. He also was extremely dismissive to criticism from his female fans, essentially saying "one piece is for boys, not you"

I think that part of what irks me about AI being used even for "small" stuff like meme graphics (aside from all the larger problems obviously) is like.... the time spent on it was part of the humor. "this is a silly inconsequential joke but I had to stop everything and spend 5 minutes making it" was, at least for me, part of the joke. Someone really took time out of their day to make me look at something silly they took time out of their day to make. Now it's like someone took time out of my day to make me look at something no one even made. Stop wasting my time if you aren't wasting yours too.

99% of fanfiction is absolute dogshit bathwater and that’s beautiful, I love that, I love that the barrier for entry is nonexistent, I love that anyone can do it, I love all the badly written porn, I love that it’s just creation for creation’s sake, I love it. Except when it’s something I’m into. When it’s something I’m into, then I’m gonna need everyone to step it up.

I'm so happy that none of the series I'm interested in are popular with children. They may be niche so there is less fan work but there are positives to that as well. And for a couple of the series im interested in, nothing could be more offensive or poorly written than some of the source material (I'm looking at the devilman sequels right now).
