crazy how much our brains love autopilot. we’re wired to rely on quick reflexes instead of burning energy to actually think things through. Swhy starting a new job/moving to a new place/meeting new ppl makes us anxious. we're forced to pay attention so we don't mess up/embarrass ourselves. But once routine sets in the brain goes back to -reflex-
