my posts arent FOR YOU. you dont get to take a movement for animals and twist it into weird transphobic shit. you dont get to be a part of a movement that aims to give rights to sentient beings while also hating other sentient beings.

"But these farms treat their animals really well before they kill them!" Did you miss the part where I said unnecessary animal death is something I'm against? Did you miss the part where I said I don't care how nicely the animals are treated because at the end of the day their milk is being stolen from their baby, and they'll be slaughtered once they're no longer useful?

"But these beekeepers take good care of their bees!" Did you cover your ears when I said I'm against exploitation of animals and I do not want people to steal their resources? How many times do I need to say that I don't care how nice their keepers are?

Yeah, they need to be milked because you continually make them pregnant so they lactate. It’s not as if they are plagued with being 24/7 milk producers like humans did to sheep and their wool. You are fully capable of leaving these animals be, and you choose not to because you want to profit off of them.

so it gets me a little fucking annoyed when i see disinformation on my dash every other fucking DAY going "hey you stupid fucking vegans, i'm pretty sure you did zero research into this massive change to your lifestyle that affects the majority of the purchases you make every day and many of your social interactions with family friends and coworkers. let me school you [makes easily disproven claims, cites no sources, stupidly assumes vegans make up the majority of the consumer base of literally any product despite being all of 1-2% of the population]"

There ARE specific situations where people need to eat animals to survive-- severe poverty, living off the grid, specific health conditions, food deserts-- plant based diets are able to support mostly anybody, but because of the carnist world we live in it isn't /available/ to everybody.

And vegans UNDERSTAND THIS. When we are advocating for veganism and the end of speciesism, we obviously aren't fucking talking about a starving child in Africa (yes someone has said this to me) and I'm tired of even dignifying this bullshit with a response.

We are addressing everyday people in our own communities-- people like us who absolutely can go vegan. The same people who weaponize serious situations like poverty to misrepresent a LIBERATION MOVEMENT.

To try to bash and misrepresent one of the strongest ways we can use our voice as consumers to resist oppression and environmental destruction, isn't just fucked but is also stupid. It's not helping anyone, especially not the vulnerable populations you use as misrepresented sheilds to your own ignorance.

In our increasingly bigoted and environmentally destructive planet (especially here in the US) we don't have time for this bullshit.
