girl, i could give you an entire book full of recommendations, just say the word and make sure your little ones are nowhere around to see them. i think it’s just the whole, coming from my mom, aspect of it all. she’s gotta compliment me, you know? she’s my mom, that’s their job. thank you, i appreciate that! you know, they’ve been filming in london and i haven’t received my scripts yet, i should call about that… kidding, that piece of work is unfortunately, very, very dead. 

It’s just out of control how much money they can make off of that stuff, it’s sickening really. It might be easier to aim for the weekend if that works for you!

Of course I don’t mind cooking for you. I love cooking. Is there any allergies or anything I need to know about? I’m at the store do you want me to pick diapers up or anything?

Does planning sons first birthday count as interesting? I know he won’t remember it but when he gets older I can show him the pics an vids.

nat: they were! chris' kids also appear in the movie. you do need to let me know what you thought of it once you've watched it. he's a sweetheart but well, he's reached the pre-teen years. those are the worst years, i confirm.

nat: i'm sure he won't say no to that. i mean, it's the least he can do. right?

nat: i promise! i guarantee it won't last forever. soon enough you'll go back to having a normal sleeping schedule once again. at first, you'll probably keep on waking up at night because your body and your instinct get used to it, but there's nothing better than being able to go back to sleep once you realize there's no crying in the background.

soph: they do?! god more reasons to watch that movie. i will try to get joe to watch it with me some time this week. i am totally not ready for when my girls hit that age. and both will do it almost at the same time.

tay: i have no idea, honestly. he asked me but didn't set a day yet. maybe busy? he's a bit of an in demand actor. thought a date night with you sounds pleasant, sophie

I learnt the hard way in the beginning that this was something I had to abide by. Plus, not to get all sappy but I love seeing you be happy. I miss our movie and cuddles nights, especially the ones where we watch a movie we’ve seen a thousand times, acting like it’s because we love the movie, when in reality we just end up having sex as soon as the movie starts. I know it will, which is why I’m so certain it’s going to happen. Okay, okay, no planning more kids for at least a year. Since I had dada with Willa, I’ll let you have mama with Nugget. Then with the third baby we will fight till the death. How about we make some drinks, go skinny dipping in the pool and then end the night by spending ages picking a movie, only to not watch it as we have hot passionate sex.

I don’t know about that, I’ve heard people say the opposite as well. I think it can vary so wildly from one child to the next that there’s really no knowing. There are challenging moments, but I think the best advice I have as she grows is make every day a fresh start. No matter what’s gone down yesterday, it’s a new day to make better choices and learn and grow. 

Hey, why not both? Indulgence is self care and you deserve it all the time. I can not WAIT for the halloween stuff to go up. I’ve already started on our place and I’m so happy to have a nice big house to decorate for the first time. I think I’m even going to put up a halloween themed tree right now so it can even carry over into christmas. I’m happy you’re getting some rest. I’m not there yet so I can only imagine how much hard work being a mom is, so it’s important you take care of yourself!

so i’ve arrived from across the pond with my cat edgar, only to realize that unpacking is going to be terrible. i have way too many books and potentially not enough space to house them all. i think to counteract this feeling i might find a place to get bits and pieces of fall, halloween, and christmas decor. it’s september therefore it is officially fall and you cannot tell me otherwise. if anyone wants to come with me to get decorations let me know! oh, i fluffed on my introduction didn’t i? hello, i’m carrie!
