Yeah! I'm not suuuper familiar with the GBA/DS/3DS game lore, so I've got to research more, but yeah I want to have Emerl in there.

I'm carrying over the lore from Chronicles about how the Nocturnus Clan echidnas created the Gizoids. Except all the Nocturnus echidnas are dead in this one.

But uhhh yeah. I have to learn more about the silly bobot before I actually write good stuff for the silly bobot. (this is an invitation for you to school me 🫵🫵🫵)

Hm. Well if it's passion then like... all of it? Any time I manage to think up a new bit of lore or a connection between two plot points in canon that never clicked before, that's when I get excited.

Stuff like the Gaian lore and figuring out the timeline, combining the plots of Lost World and Colors, picking out characters from extended media and finding ways to fit them in.

It's fun to play around with these guys, especially since you know this kind of stuff would NEVER happen in the official media. Continuity retcons that actually fix mistakes and make things more cohesive??? PFFFF, never/hj

I do really love working on this stuff. Until I hit a roadblock in my own lore that contradicts itself and then I get frustrated and sad and demotivated. It gets bad.

Yup! Starline gets to be more of a long lasting problem in this story (he gets involved a lot in the Riders' plots specifically) and this by extension includes Surge.

She and Kit are created to be physically on par with Sonic and Tails, but also tailor made to resonate with the public. They're racers.

When Sonic and his team suspect Starline's involvement behind the scenes during a major racing event, Surge and Kit are there to make their journey harder.

And then they've got their own issues like they did in the comics. Being cyborgs who don't know how they were made, having to deal with abuse and hypnotism, etc.

Clutch is also involved in the bs btw. In case you were wondering ^^

Uhh... evilly??? I think he's like, the one Sonic look-alike robot I don't want to redeem in this. Just because there are sooooo many others. Shard, Hip, Mecha Mk II, not to mention ones like Gemerl and Omega that I have to include. I know it kind of sucks but I don't want to overdo the "redeemed robot" trope.

(though the story I made up for Mecha Mk III/Hip was originally going to be for Metal Sonic. Robotnik using him as fodder while testing the Phantom Ruby, and allowing Infinite to essentially tear him apart. He later escapes and shows up in Mighty's hometown, gets taken in and fixed, and joins their defense squad as the war begins)

Plus he's a stubborn guy, like Sonic is. I think he'd stick to that desperate need to prove himself, no matter what. Even after Robotnik goes missing post Forces and fully commits to his new life as Mr. Tinker, I think he still wouldn't break down and accept it. He'd insist on carrying on the Empire.

As for like, normal rewritten plot stuff relating to him, uhhh. He's the reason that Mighty's arm is gone. Honestly still workshopping the rest of the stuff relating to him, sorryyy.

Cosmo (or Cosmos as she's called in the AU) actually looks like this!

The Seedrians aren't under the threat of the Metarex in this AU, at least not before Sonic gets to meet them. They have the same sexual dimorphism that they do in X, and they have the ability to grow plant life. They're peaceful, and refuse to fight unless it's extremely necessary. They have a ongoing friendly relationship with the Bem.

Cosmo is not a Seedrian in this AU -- she is a Gaian. The last pure Gaian, as all the others have sacrificed themselves or have permanently taken on a different form. She lives on Little Planet, which endlessly travels the galaxy in search of Gaia's Comet.

Is this specifically a game verse au within an au. Or is there aspects of comics. (Idw + archie) and if there is. Id love to know about the diamond cutters.

Anyways, yeah! Alacrity AU is a remixed version of the games' canon, with all of the main events in the story being lifted from the games or entirely made up by me. Not to say it doesn't include elements from other pieces of Sonic media, because it definitely does. Mostly through the inclusion of their characters to flesh out the world.

So characters like Manic, Lady Walrus, Sticks, Chris Thorndyke, Eclipse, Naugus, etc exist within the story, just in different ways from how they might have been in the original.

And yeah this does include the Diamond Cutters ^^

I've been planning on doing a major rewrite for Forces, especially focusing on how the rest of the world deals with the war as seen through the eyes of the Rookie. Each town or region would have their own branches of the Resistance, or independent militia groups. The Diamond Cutters would be one of those, always traveling around and never having a set base.

Sonic's been gone for way longer in this compared to the original (3 months in the og -> 1 full year) so I feel like at some point during that time is when all of Whisper's backstory stuff happens. Including Mimic's betrayal. Rookie would probably only meet Whisper during their journey. Aside from that, I imagine that they're pretty much the same.

As for the other two. Blaze is from another universe, just like in canon, but other universes in this AU are technically just other sub-AUs, so she's not actually a part of Alacrity AU. Technically?? I know it's confusing. Bear with me.

There is a version of Blaze in Alacrity in Silver's time. Her powers are nowhere near as potent as our Blaze's are, and her name is different.

Espio is a member of the Chaotix who first met them by coincidence whilst illegally checking out Newtrogic Highzone. They don't know where he came from, and he's not very interested in telling them. He claims he's on a mission, but decides to stick around after Eggman's defeat as if he had nothing better to do.

I've been playing with the idea that he was raised by a roaming master, who would travel from planet to planet learning and teaching different fighting techniques, before leaving that world behind to find another. The guy was very strict and very detached. He raised Espio, but he didn't really care for him like he should have. (Maybe a rogue Zeti, learning these skills and fostering pupils out of pride to boost his self-image?)
