"The Creator and the talent: years in the mind of confusion". A short story for my subject of choice this semester.
1. Humorous phases of funny faces (1906)
Earliest caption wich simulates movement and you can see the artist drawing as well.

2. Fantasmagorie (1908) First cartoon ever (according to youtube).
3. Little Nemo (1911)
A very mentioned animation during my research. The relation of art and artist here is very interesting. The is both stop-motion and filmed parts.
4. Gertie the Dinosaur (Winsor McCay, 1914) Performance art + animation
5. THE SINKING OF THE LUSITANIA (1918) As far as I could find, this is the earliest animated documenary, where animation is used as a medium to inform and not only for leisure. Also: the movement (waves and explosion) are incredible compared to other animations that time.
6. Felix The Cat - Feline Follies (1919) Character: the cat is just like a person (he thinks, he feels) but the way he moves is just like the animator created his own world with new movements.

7. Mickey Mouse: Steamboat Willie (1928) I see it everywhere, it's an animation you must know. (The character is relatable.)
8. Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs (1937) Disney's first master piece.
9. Bugs Bunny (1940) A new way for animated characters to move arround the screen (in a fast way).
10. Bambi (1942) Scariest story ever. The amazingability of showing emotions.
11. The Flintstones (1960) As far as I could find: this is the first animated sitcom family.

12. Vincent (1982) Film by Tim Burton during his internship at Disney Studios.
13. Tin Toy - Trailer (1988) Short animation trying out a new technique with the medium. Made before Toy Story.
