i'm autistic but I don't understand the appeal of stimboards. like I am a gif liker I do enjoy a good moving picture to watch loop but I never like the way they're presented like a 3x3 grid all wiggling at me at the same time. Myeh. No. Scrolls away.

I do think they are probably funner to make. It must feel good as fuck to find a gif you like and being able to connect it to the Character

hello thank you so much for your trans calvin comics. I grew up reading C&H and really related to Calvin, so seeing trans Calvin just fills me with so much joy.

(I headcannon Calvin's dad as a butch trans woman and his mom as a queer woman who doesn't really care what her labels are, she just feels how she feels and loves her wife and kid and cares more about her garden than what people call her)

I think a key reason why Calvin's parents play so sympathetically is because

1. They actually make sense as the parents to Calvin

2. They aren't just flat stereotypes

I'm sure a lot of people would point to the glasses strip as an example of (particularly Calvin's mom) being very much like Calvin, but I personally think this is a good demonstrator too.

They're both good parents trying their best and they have fun with it. It's the polar opposite of so many parent archetypes (and probably a lot of the parents of people who read C&H)
