I think I’ve seen more Black transfemme memorial tribute art than I’ve seen art depicting Black transfemme characters. Like yes representation is the bare fucking minimum but. do you have any idea how little Black transfemme art I see that isnt the “five o’clock shadow” type or Marsha or because yet another one of us got killed and it’s in tribute?

There’s an omnipresence of white trans folks in popular trans art because whiteness is the currency of attention online and everyone else gotta pay the BIPOC Attention Tax, and even if you specifically look for it, often algorithms and censors that target all transfemmes but disproportionately affect transfemmes of color will make it hell to find unless you know EXACTLY what/how to find it.

Part of why I share my modeling photos, or even my selfies like I do, is bc so many people like me never get to see others that look like us even within our own marginalities. That it doesn’t stop at being white, or petite, or abled, or cis. That there are other people even more like us within our marginalities, that we aren’t fucking alone in a society that uplifts the same types of people to the “top” even within a marginalized group.

White people have got to call this shit out whenever and wherever it happens. Shame the people who only care about antiblackness when they’re backed into a corner and can’t look away. Shame the people who only interact with white blogs and only speak up when white transfems get nuked. Shame the people who refuse to acknowledge and fight to rewire their own learned biases. Shame the people who would rather let their black mutuals die off one by one than actively fight to include and learn from them.

fewer people dead of vaccine preventable illnesses in the global south bc the greatest barrier to distributing some vaccines like hpv is their ip

library of the world: every book and journal article in the world could be digitised and be searchable for every person in the world to read regardless of where they live. cheap reprint runs and local translations everywhere.

so much hardware would be opened up & therefore made so much cooler.

so many more songs that riff off and sample and interpolate shit from this decade instead of like 70 years ago and more analysis of music that didn't keep getting nuked off the internet

preserving movies and tv shows and games as long as someone, somewhere has the desire to host them

just go publish your fanfic/art/vid as is instead of all us pretending it isn't fanwork or begging the corporation for mercy / licensing
