Two Angels

Last night as I lay sleeping, Two angels appeared in my dreams. I noticed as they came down majestically, riding on rays of moonbeams.

I watched as they climbed through my window and came to sit beside me on the bed and after looking at me for a moment, one of them finally said.

“We have heard your cries in heaven and the Father has felt your need so he has sent us from up above to help you find some peace. Tell us what is troubling you and makes you so very sad, maybe after the telling you’ll see that it isn’t so bad.

The two of them sat there waiting, I suppose wondering what I would say and I thought of all the sadness and lonliness that I had been feeling all day.

“I want someone to love” I cried, “Someone of my very own. Someone to share my heart with and to give my very soul.

The first angel never took his eyes from me and said “ Is it really as simple as that? See, I told you that after the telling you would see that it wasn’t so bad”.

I was stunned speechless for a moment, I could feel my face turning red and trying not to sound angry, asked. “Have you heard a word that I have said?. I have searched around every corner and as far as the eye can see and seen people falling in love, everyone but me!”.

The first angel turned to the second, both whispering with heads bent low and I looked on in astonishment as they both stood up to go.

The first angel as he walked past me, looked down at me with eyes that shined so bright and stopping to lean over, whispered “Your prayers have been answered tonight”.

Now when people ask me how I know that God’s love is true, I just smile and shake my head, for the day after is the day that I met you.
