a laugh escaped his lips and he shook his head. “my dear, i am fine with anything so long as i get to spend time with you,” dominick said sincerely and pressed his lips to her cheek. he reluctantly let her go as she stepped back from him and his smile widened at her words. “take out sounds great,” he said sincerely and brought her hand to his lips, pressing a soft kiss to the back of it. their fingers intertwined, he allowed her to lead him to the couch, sitting down and pulling her to sit down on his lap. he enjoyed this and this was what he looked forward to all the time when he came home. around her, he could relax and let loose, and not get into arguments with her over the littlest things. “so tell me; how have you been since the last time i saw you?”

dominick’s arms pulled her into position, but with her own laxed grip around his shoulders she brought some added comfort to her posture. Hand curving up, her fingers slipped into the short of his hair and gave it an affectionate ruffle. “the same ole books and studies for the most part really.” if there was one thing she didn’t allow her schooling to suffer from, it was distractions. the cost of tuition was high enough that wasted potential was nearly as much as a downfall as having to repeat a class. though such diligence did come at a price. typically being a headache for the most part. with a soft groan, charlotte leaned forward, tapping her temple lightly against the curve of his jaw. “ i swear im reciting my anatomy textbook in my sleep. i’m a proper nutcase now.”
