Out now: Our Report on the Internet of People.
As an introduction to our fields of interest we have produced the magazine Emergent Value — A Report on the Internet of People.
In it, we take a look at open source organizations and the commons, privacy as a potential for innovation, and other forms of positive externality.
We are available for speaking engagements. Contact us for more information or a physical copy of the report.
I come from a background busily combining economics and philosophy in order to understand the role of businesses in relation to the society that surrounds them. To me, enterprises, whether private or public, are the changemakers of the world and the field of organisational and leadership development has had my interest for several years.
My approach can be summed up in two words: explore & connect. Without an explorative baseline, research is reduced to a mere fact-finding mission. Without the ability to see connections, make them or change them, we lose the possibility of producing an impact.
To me, the ambition of a smarter and more sustainable society depends on the ability of our established businesses and institutions to learn from and connect with purpose-driven trailblazers, that often unheard of reservoir of ideas and tactical expertise.

From my background in philosophy and geography I have a keen interest in the way new technologies challenge and disrupt established social structures, such as organizations and business models, and in the way that disruptive waves can be navigated successfully.
I tend to explore these processes from below and my approach can be summed up in a single word: Action. Whether producing knowledge in the form of research, journalism and consultancy, or engaging the public through campaigns, community organizing and activism, I focus on activities that produce concrete, positive outcomes.
To me, entrepreneurship in its ideal state is a form of activism, changing the world from below. Likewise, successful activists have to take an entrepreneurial approach, making the most of whatever resources are available to create change.
