For a moment Eva dismissed the news alert on her phone. However the glimps of 'fire burns down...' Caught her eye because she swear the following words were Around The Clock. Her heart stopped. Time stopped. This was a joke. This was a cruel sick joke. This was one of the few times Eva drove over there it wasn't smart being as emotional as she was, and there it was burnt to the ground.
Seeing her favorite place reduced to rubble and ash was a punch to gut. She still had sips but it wasn't the same. She slumped down to the ground as life stopped making sense.
After driving Bea to his apartment to calm her down, they realized she’d left something at the diner...or what used to be the diner. Rather than risk another spike in her panic, Solomon offered to pick it up while she hung out at his place. He didn’t expect to field another panic attack, but apparently that was just the motif for the entire week. “Eva, you good?” he asked, approaching her with caution.
