The evolution of the water kettle has seen it grow from the unassuming thermos flasks to the present day electric versions. While flasks are more portable, they don’t keep the contents warm for a long period and conversely, electric kettles consume more power, can’t be used on the go but do the job more effectively. The shortlisted designs were right out of a futuristic Manga series and had a particular theme to it. The Option A was called “Biomimicry” and took inspiration from the environment.
