SOLC Talks

Our first college trip when we got to know about this everyone started howling and shouting and we started planning what to take,what clothes to wear and which color sandals to take .

The landscape changed suddenly. The Sal trees on both sides of the road took me to this remote village called Kyari in the Corbett National Park. The bumpy road, dried river bed and a few scattered houses was what I saw while driving through the jungle. You feel a sense of belongingness amidst nature. The dense forest and its scenic landscape simply take you on a journey to the unknown. I like such journeys where you embark on a self rejuvenating voyage.n no time, I realized that this was a no network zone. Instead of worrying about it, I was delighted to have a gadget free vacation, which I was yearning for a long time. A beautiful property in the dense forest of Corbett National Park with all kinds of luxuries.I like this kind of holidays where you get the rare opportunity to connect with people, nature and the surroundings. Taking a nature walk in Kyari village was the perfect way to spend the evening in a forest.

Well, it was the most thrilling experience I had during my stay . As part of the adventure activities, Corbett Wild Irish Spa and Resort has much to offer which includes river crossing, body surfing.

I will miss those days , the best weekend spend with my friends and teachers ❤

Solc,has been an amazing place, which has been an integral part of my life for last 2 years and have given me so much opportunity to grow as an individual' without being bored of what I was doing. Even I have started to belive in the concept, that learning is fun,only after being a part of solc the teachers and every other human who works here is a part of this lovely family,never disappoints us,hope this bond stay stronger with each passing day and thus,finally when we have to leave each other after exactly one year, we continue to have a cherished relationship,which we will fondly remember throughout our life.

Friends are the Most cherished gifts one can get through the tide of time and I am so lucky to become a part of such a loving environment I.e Solc where languages and culture are no barrier but are a reason for amalgamation of different thoughts and belief. I am also thankful to this place for providing me with such wonderful souls and that is why I never feel alone, being an introvert has its own perils but because of such amazing back of support system. Everything becomes endearing

I hope this bond that we share becomes stronger with passage of time .

I still can't believe we have completed 2 years of togetherness and get anxious when I figure out their is just one year left in the completion of this journey.

But still I find happiness as aware of the fact that this friendship is beyond everything and will stay forever .

The experience you gather while contemplating with oneself is the most cherished and fruitful one. I would take this opportunity to share one of the most memorable days of my life that is the trip to CORBETT NATIONAL PARK along with coolest bunch of teachers and amazing classmates. We had a blast in nature’s lap. Staying away from family hasn’t been my comfort zone but anyhow my friends pushed me to convince my parents, who were more than happy to allow me. I decided to take some delicious homemade food for my hostel-mates. The amazing weekend was filled with fun activities including BODY SURFING, CYCLING, FUN GAMES, and JUNGLE SAFARI. The most relishing memory was that of the walking alone under in dark sky full of stars. I felt stronger as an individual, the wild nature and the surrounding enchanted with positive vibes, making me believe more in myself. One thing for sure, I am never going to lose such friends. The nature and its beauty helped me to understand the raw beauty of nature that can’t be understood without leaving in the cosiness of urban locale.

I hope more such events happen, thus giving us more opportunity to find oneself.

being a student of solc has its own perks and one of them is the tremendous amount of Fun we Had All through The semister and thinking about one such event reminds me of

the sharda cup, which was held on 11th march to 13th march. it was a memorable day for all of us especially second year, as we were part of almost every event in the sharda cup

i still remember waking up early in the mrng to be a part of cricket match which was initial attraction of the day which we lost but that didnt dampen our spirt as we were all preped up for

the next event that was the football match and thank fully we got a walkover which helped us to enter the next round without any hard work the next day was equally amazing all though we didnt won

single match all through the day still the pleasure of having time friends and class mate was extremely special it was also grt bonding time for us to me and greet with our seniors and junior who were equally fun.

The first thing that I fell in love with, here in college, was that I could so easily be anyone who I wanted to be. I could introduce myself as anyone or anything I wished, and I didn't have to be my old self anymore. I think maybe that's why I've spent three years trying to be a different person each day, learning things about myself that I never thought were even possible.

I've had both good and bad days here - like most of us, I'm sure - but I'd much rather take a bad day in this place than a good day anywhere else. Because if this place gave me difficult times, it also gave me the strength and the people I needed to get over them.

From the day I attended my orientation to this day, SOLC has been a crazy roller coaster ride, one with more highs than lows. You know the dizzy feeling you get when you get off a long ride? I think SOLC has forever left me with that feeling - the overwhelming feeling of a happy high when you know you've conquered yet another milestone in life.

SOLC has taught me how to be life-proud. It's taught me that one always ends up exactly where they're supposed to be and that the journey to that place can be full of fun, laughter and fearless decisions. SOLC has taught me that being scared or inhibited should no longer even be an option.

It's scary how one place can change you so much. I'm glad that it's SOLC that changed me because honestly, no other place could've done a better job!

A Teacher takes a HAND,Opens a MIND and Touches a HEART.I had never met a teacher just same like my mother.....yaaa I’m talking about our SOLC’s Ex-coordinator......Ms.Kavita Iyer Ma’am.When I met her,I was like I got my mother here too.A good teacher,mother,friend and an honourable women should be like her.She is very responsible and experienced.I never had such a beautiful lady in my life like her.She handles everything so nicely.I used to teach from her everytime that How she handles eveything.She is my inspiration.She used to motivate all of us for studies,events,activities and for everything.The day when I heard about her that she’s leaving from SOLC,my heart aches and started crying too badly by hugging her tightly.She told me she’s going nowhere and wipe off my tears.Farewell party for her makes everyone cry,every single person was emotional that day but she didn’t bring even a single tear outside and showing herself so strong.She’ll always remain in my heart.Really missing you kavita ma’am.Loads of Love

The summer starter kit was inaugurated with an attack on summers, with ‘Ink-Wash’ a SOLC (School Of Languages & Cultures) event, started with a hard hit on the summers with the hot enthusiasm and totally chilled out aura. Many stalls were set-up all around the department of Languages and Culture, consisting of international beverages with an Indian touch, art-works such as paintings, sketches, attractive hand-made material. With a photo-wall having pictures of two quite popular photographers in the department © Vishal Logani & © Malay Singh, whose pictures were put for display on a stall where people could actually afford to buy such fantasts and not just adore them on the Instagram wall of the photographers. Adarsh and Suman were the two particular individuals who had the ability to color the entire event in a single canvas and yet it would seem prettier than the actual event happening. Even though the two day event was tightly packed with several sub-events, artworks and definitely the street foods, but the major highlights of the two-day-run were something everyone had their hearts pounding since a week prior to the event; Hasrat-E-Hunar, Fandom, SolCon, Mehfil-E-Mushaira and definitely Sherlocked the Mystery. The event could have been a huge disaster if the volunteers wouldn’t have had put their heart and soul keeping the Event before themselves, and their never to give up attitude to make arrangements for the over-packed schedule and being all around in such a manner even if their absence was observed they managed their team-work in such a particular manner that the event had to be success and nothing less than what we all observed on 5th and 6th April, 2018 with volunteers running errands to make sure the event went with such a smooth flow that neither of the supernatural nor any human efforts could bring the event down.

Hey, I studied at sharda university, first of all am there basically for my graduation in Ba English Hons. And today I am in 2 nd yr. When I went there for the first time I feel a little shy and little weird but then slowly-slowly I make new friends..and the teachers as well are soo good and so helpful❤

Sharda University all one says(the world is there) actually I agree because I meet no. Of peoples there..there culture, there lifestyle,etc..As I met my soul sister too in the university in BBA 2 nd yr Manisha Raut.. she is the one who always there for me..and always stood for me no matter what happens..that's why I love her❤💯

I thank too sharda university for this.. as well I Learned so many things.. in studies I got to know about literature in many parts and found this interesting as well.. I got a reality check as well.. so thank to my teachers who was always there to guide me.. and thank too my classmates as well my bestfriend to tolerate me..:")

Being a hostler needs more than a willpower and guts you have. Sacrificing parents loves , delicious food and all the comforts. That's what you going to miss in a hostel life.

The phrase " To achieve something we have to loose something", is what we are following at our teenage.

But sometimes phrase like these can be prove wrong, when you find a place like SOLC, which gives a family, friends and a mentor who gives mother's love.

Leaving my comfort zone behind , I joined SOLC , the day when I first met one of the best mentor I had seen till now. New place, new peoples all these making me unadjustable, but the positive vibes she has and such a pure aura make me comfort automatically. And that comforts is still with me, although I had spent more than 17 months in SOLC , but I had not seen any change in the nature or behaviour of her. She is such a great human, who always guide us and treat us like her own children.

A mother who disguise as mentor just to teach and guide children like us is nothing less then you want in this selfish world.

Finding a mentor who treats like her own children, friends who became family , workers became friends . These thing is nothing less then a blessing . Getting a home like environment beside from home is nothing like a jackpot for a student like me.

Being a part of SOLC is one of the greatest experience I had till now.

Thank you everyone for being as a part of my family.

I remember when there was a trip to Jim Corbett National Park organised by SOLC. when all of us heard about this idea of trip, there was a lot of excitement in every student.Of course , it was our dream to spend some days and nights together with friends and teachers as well.

On the very early morning of the day ,around 6.a.m. we were very excited and the experience of this trip started from here.

The landscape changed after 7-8 hours. As soon as we took turn upwards ,the dense forest welcomed us, the towering sal trees on both sides of the road took us to that remote village called kyari in the Corbett National Park. While making our way through the rough terrain, we finally landed at our destination, The Corbett Irish spa and resort, located in a pretty village called kyari. There was a beautiful property in the dense forest with all kind of luxuries.

I experienced a lot of new adventures like village walk, body surfing activity, Jeep safari, the night with bonfire and dancing with SOLC family.

This trip to Jim Corbett remind me some cheerful and funny moments with all. This was the wonderful experience for me and we all had a great time there.

Of course SOLC is like my next family.Thank you SOLC for giving me a new way of life.
