Like how old are you? Ship what you like and let them ship what they want. Its not that hard to avoid what you hate. Its harder to when you actively post about how much you hate it and how your ship is better and "haha my ship is canon you loosers".

1) not every band is going to do it for you. That's okay. But you dont have to shit on their fans. Unless they are toxic sludge fans (ie the stalkers and those who think they own these people and can dictate what they can and cant do) then go forth and drag them. No one needs that kind of energy in their lives. But for the most part respect each other.

2) not every album or song of your favorite band is going to be your favorite. That's okay. Its also okay if it is someone else's. This is why we have headphones and track selection. My favorite song from Stray Kids right now is In My Head. My mom loves Do It. My nephew is still playing Falling up on repeat. We are all happy with our choices. My dad hates kpop so he doesn't listen at all unless he lost control of the car radio. He hates my emo punk too. Honestly anything made after he graduated from high school.

3) another band doing well is not a slight against your favorite. BTS and Stray Kids and BlackPink can coexist. You can even like all of them. Im tired of seeing fan wars over stupid things because one or another group is having a good day and the others are quiet. Also from what I hear the actual members are all friends.

4) I want a BTS / Stay collab. RM & Chan or Seungmin & Jungkook. Oooo Suga and Changbin. Lots of amazing opportunities there.

5) don't make assumptions about the private lives and choices made by artists. We as fans see the little bit od the iceberg above water, there is alot we dont see nor do they have the obligation to share everything. Shipping lightheartedly two people ( "wouldn't these two look cute together") is generally fine but dont get so caught up in it you forget its just a story. I cant say this enough to modern online fandom: real people are not dolls we get to play with.

Also depending on the country and/or culture they belong to making these assumptions can be dangerous/damaging for them whether it turns out to be true or not. People who aren't involved can get majorly hurt too. Ive seen stories where people start a rumor and despite not being true people attack a person who was totally not involved.

Sherlock fandom showed me the dark side of shipping gone too far.
