Forgotten Pages

대자연은 인간에게 안도감을 주기도 하지만, 때로는 두렵고 무서운 존재이다. 인간의 손길이 닿지 않은 대자연의 순결함을 처음 느꼈을 때의 당혹감이, 내가 처음 아이를 받아 안고 엄마가 되어가면서 느꼈던 첫 감정이다. 불완전한 삶의 끊임없는 긴장 상태 속에서 보낸 엄마로서의 삶. 단지 고단하고 지루하게만 느꼈던 그때의 감정들과, 모호함으로 가득했던 내 삶에 보다 적극적으로 다가가 보기로 한다.

소녀에서 여자로 그리고 엄마가 되어 흘러가는 나의 시간들 속에 안개처럼 뿌옇게 바스라지며 사라지는 기억들이 존재한다. 아련한 연기처럼 사라지기도 하고 가끔은 햇볕에 반짝이기도 했던 시간들. 무기력하고 기계적인 감정, 이해에 도달하지 못할지도 모른다는 두려움, 아이들에 의해 무수히 채워지는 따스함, 벅차오르던 순간, 좌절했던 기억, 미안한 기억, 막막했던 기억, 설레던 기억 그리고 기쁨, 슬픔, 두려움을 온몸으로 느끼며 온전히 지금을 살아가는 아이들.

구멍 뚫린 기억들이 나를 이루고 있고 내가 되어간다. 기억을 잃어 본질을 상실한 나는 과연 온전한 모습으로 살아갈 수 있을까? 찬란한 기억의 퍼즐을 모두 찾아 모든 감정의 결에 기억의 옷을 입혀 나를 되찾아 본다. 기억을 입은 감정을 그리는 동안 명쾌한 선으로 그어낼 수 없던 기억들은 더욱 선명해지고 그때의 고단함과 격정은 담담함으로 바뀐다.
