🖋 The Literature Club - and the mod! - is graduating in less than a month, meaning we've been rather antsy to finish off the year while also balancing our academics! We've also been balancing things that come with that - like friends finally getting to spend entire weekends together, prom, events... - but with summer and college coming up, we should be able to get more chances to post!!

☁️ "(Ehehe-!) Um, I wanted to ask... when did you get a cane?"

📚 "...fairly recently. I had been considering purchasing myself one for a long period of time, but decided against it."

📚 "Yes, I was under the impression that people would mock it or say things such as 'not appearing to need it', I had a near-faint episode and wasn't near anything solid enough to lean on, you may try if you like, and about ¥4000."

📚 "People assume that one must look physically disabled to require mobility aids. Which-"

[ She groans, visibly hurt as she rests her head in her arms, laid out on her knees. A few moments later, she snaps up, eyes wide with realization. ]

☁️ "Wait, hold on! The last week of the month! Fuck, she's on her period- I'm an idiot! No wonder why she hasn't been wanting to do stuff today!"

[ She laughs a bit, shaking her head at herself before opening the box to investigate the ingredients. ]

☁️ "...oh, hey, wait, Nats has been talking about some of this stuff! Edible glitters... ruby chocolate-? Like, the stone...? ...oh, it's supposed to taste like berries! That's really cool! What are these? ...dandelion? Gosh, a lot of this is really expensive... Do you want us to pay you back or anything? This can't be cheap..."

I would like to apologize for my sudden appearance the other day. My desire to perform is often a detriment when making a first impression. To put my feelings simply: I admire your club. It is a place where those without a moment to themselves are free to be themselves for a moment.

The music club is not such a place. My skill with the auditory arts has allowed me to be, for lack of a better word, safe. But I worry every day about the possibility of being scorned, being cast out of the only place I've been able to sing freely. To put it simply: I am jealous of you all. The love and hope between you is obvious to me, and it is something I hope to have with friends of my own someday.

Music runs in my blood, it shores up my bones, but no number of notes could ever express how thankful I am. Yesterday, my spontaneous performance was an expression of that gratitude, but I fear that I made a bad introduction. Perhaps we could meet again, Literature Club, on better terms?

In any case, I have a question. If you all played an instrument, which one would you play?

The odd person brings an accordion to the proper position, and begins to play a moderately slow waltz with surprising skill.

"Ahem. This song is called... Together."

The tune sounds uplifting as it begins in earnest, somehow capturing the feelings of a sunrise on a new day as the musician begins to sing.

"Sunny days, flowering rays, light of the world... Lavender, sweet and sure, concealed pearl... Sweet pink tart, quick with art, ne-ver cute girl... Emerald quill, steadfast will, ink pen she twirls! The club of great heartbeat, the club of true bonds/they're first place with friendship, not silver or bronze."

The song is over just as quickly as it began. The musician lowers their accordion and bows as if on stage, even going so far as to catch an imaginary rose. Then, their performance completed, they turn and walk away, disappearing just as quickly as they arrived.
