The water lightly trickled down the faucet, hitting the large bathtub in the admittedly stunning bathroom of Dio’s mansion. As the tub filled, warm steam floated in the air, clouding the reflective surface of the large mirror. A pleasant sigh escaping your mouth filled the otherwise silent bathroom, the promise of a relaxing warm bath forming a delighted smile across your lips. Your hand reached in to feel the water, its perfectly warm temperature tingling on your skin. You couldn’t wait to step in.

Slowly standing up, you go to remove your bathrobe, allowing it to drop to the bathroom floor, your exposed body surrounded by the comfortably hot steam. 

“Well, this is certainly a captivating sight,” a voice you recognize immediately says behind you. Your eyes look behind you, just past your shoulder only for them to fall on the Lord of the mansion himself. Immediately a small wave of heat, not provided by the existing steam rushes to your cheeks as Dio’s eyes look at you, pure admiration sparkling in them. “May I join you?” He asks with that low voice of his as his eyes briefly glance at the water-filled bathtub before returning them to you. A smile appears on your lips at his question. 

“Of course, Dio.”

With a charming smile of his own, he steps into the bathtub after you, sitting behind you and allowing you to lean against his exposed chest. As you sit down in front of his larger form and the delightfully hot water surrounds your body, a satisfied sigh leaves your mouth and let your (E/C) eyes close themselves. You hear him quietly sigh as well, most likely enjoying the comforting warmth of the bath just as much as you did. “Quite wonderful, isn’t it?” He said with a quiet voice that still held some of its usual charm.

Dio’s hands made their way to your shoulders, gently moving them across the surface and making your already existing smile a tad bit wider. “It is,” you replied, your tender voice sounding like music to the Lord’s ears. Relaxing times between you two like these were quite rare, as the looming danger that was the troublesome group known as the Crusaders was slowly getting closer, being a direct threat to Dio, who was still healing the body he had adopted that didn’t initially wasn’t his. However, when these occasional moments did occur, you both made sure to make the most out of them.

You tilt your head to the side, which allows Dio to gently touch the skin of your left shoulder with his lips. Combined with the relaxing atmosphere the bath provided, Dio’s soft pecks on your bare shoulder made everything that much more special. For a moment it felt like it was only the two of you in the world, no Joestars, no conflicts, only you and your Lord, peacefully enjoying each other’s company.

Dio couldn’t help but feel lucky for once in his life. All the struggles with Jonathan, all that time he spent isolated from the rest of the world at the bottom of the sea, it was all miserable and though his mind still did and always would hunger for power and revenge, the desire to stand atop this pathetic world fueling him, in this very moment, he felt genuinely happy in a way he hadn’t felt in over a century.

“Dio? Everything alright?” You suddenly asked, noticing how he had frozen suddenly, lost in his thoughts that roamed around his mind. He noticed you looking at him and blinked a few times, before regaining his composure, small smirk lifting one corner of his lips. “Everything is wonderful, my dear.” Suddenly, you felt his hands slide on your waist, his lips teasingly touching the soft skin of your neck. A part of you was glad he wasn’t able to witness your face that was now filled with a clearly visible shade of crimson. Though he already knew this.
