My name is Nat, Im 23 years old and live below the poverty line. I work minimum wage and most importantly, don’t have (and cannot afford) health insurance.
I’ve been having toothaches for the last month. I did what I could to prevent them: increase my dental hygine, not drinking or eating hot or cold foods, and when the pain got too unbearable, started taking over the counter medication.
This didn’t help and I developed an infection (a quite painful abcess) right behind my front tooth.
Medication stopped working. I can’t eat and can barely sleep through the excruciating pain. I have no idea how I’m going to make it through my shift tomorrow.
I researched neighbouring dentists, local clinics (all overbooked) and even dental schools. But all either require out of pocket payment or do not provide root canals.
Im scared that the infection will spread to other teeth, my sinus cavity, or even my brain. Please, please help me afford this treatment.
