So yeah, um it's about as pleasant to the ears as pulling teeth with a pair of pliars. T^T

I think the recommendation was pranking me. The albums drive is what made it awful, is claustrophobic, it's cramped and whenever you think its going to get clean with a powerful and energetic chorus after a angry and harsh buildup. It gets quiet and nihilistic

It is an incredible album, the best descriptor is that it's confident. It is unpleasant at every corner, it kicks you in the teeth when you ask it to give you the reward of staying with it but since you're a good girl/boy you take it happily and ask for more

And by god i did

It never paid off, it didn't have the big cum you expect of a modern album. I didn't joke when it felt like an edging session. Usually im not into that, but this album made me enjoy it to a strange degree

Like the game cruelty squad, it's grotesqueness adds and contrasts it's incredible design

Some of the mastery is pure auditory genius
