Manon doesn't regret coming to America, it's giving her life long friends (the other Kats and Sophie), as well as opportunities she wouldn't have been able to dream of back in Switzerland. The person behind Manon though, Meret, she does regret one thing. She regrets not taking him with her. She remembers the conversation, his excitement that was quickly dimmed when he realized she'd need to move half way across the world. He'd still told her to go though. Kelechi had always been like that, self-sacrificing to a fault, even when he didn't need too.
She knew he kept in contact with Lena, as every once in a while Manon would get updates about her ex from her older sister. They weren't the kind of updates that Manon had been hoping for in level of detail but she supposed she couldn't complain.
All Meret really knew, was that she missed Kelechi and his stupid jokes that didn't make any sense.

Sophia considered herself pretty in tune with her group mates. She was their comfort person and more often than not they came to her for problems. Manon was the very same.
Manon had come to Sophia about missing her ex not long after they'd actually become KATSEYE. Sophia had to admit that it had probably been a mistake on the older girls part but Sophia was more, and still is more than happy to help.
There was, of course, a slight non-consequential problem. Manon hadn't properly been in contact with Kelechi Alger in years despite the fact that she was still in love. To put it simply, Sophia wanted to rip her hair out.

Dani had heard all about Kelechi Alger, from happy memories on first dates to the time he'd face planted in front of Manon in freshman year while trying to flirt with her, which was actually her favourite because it was lame but in a lovable way.
Nevertheless Dani had heard it all. She'd even been the one to push Manon into realizing that maybe she hadn't gotten over her high school sweetheart who'd let her go for her own benefit. It was a bittersweet story about love.
One that beginning to get on Dani's nerves. Look she loved Manon, but she was only human, and there's only so long you can listen to the same stories over and over again before you still her phone and send that text you're self.

Lara had seen the photos. The ones of pre-dream academy Manon sitting on a man's lap looking happier than Lara would argue she'd ever seen the Swiss-Ghanaian girl. She also sees the worn out hoodies in the back of Manon's closet that she only ever takes out on a bad day. Even worse, Lara knows why the cologne that Manon has sat on her desk is the sent it is.
Lara knows enough to tie it all back to him. Which used to think that it was impressive, but they'd she watched closer and realized that Manon was mourning this man like he was dead. Like they'd loved each other their entire lives.
It clicked then, that Manon was just in love with her ex and Lara couldn't help but feel slightly sorry.

It wasn't actually that often that Manon and Megan sat somewhere and just talked to each other. Sometimes they'd smoke but it was never anything truly indulgent. The two of them talked about it all, often, from Megan's own prying, they'd head back up on the topic of Kelechi Alger, Manon's first love.
Their story hurt Megan somewhere only the plots of Dani's romance novels could touch. It made Megan want to experience it, to fall in love and experience even a sliver of what Kelechi and Manon held for each other. Then Manon would reach the end of the story, when she had to break up with Kelechi. Manon would always get this look in here eyes that Megan would try and ignore. Because how do you help with that kind of pain.
In those moments' though, Megan wondered if she actually did want that kind of love.

Yoonchae would argue she knew the least out of the group about this ex of Manon's. It wasn't for lack of trying on Yoonchae's part, a good time had never arisen. The other girls were quick to catch her up though. On all of their favourite stories of Manon and Kelechi.
It always struck Yoonchae about how young they'd been when they'd fallen in love. They'd been younger than her when they'd gotten together and only Dani's age when Manon's bigger dreams had forced them to make a difficult decision.
Maybe that's why it never felt like the right moment to ask, because how could there be such a lose for a girl who'd lose a pillar of her support system so young.

'KATSEYE' is a global girl group debuted under Hybe x Greffin. They were trained under the 'K-pop methodology' in hopes to reach out to the Asian market while also keeping their Western appeal. The group consists of 6 young women all from different ethnicities. The group hopes to represent people who haven't been able to see themselves on the screen before.
