Finally, I want to thank Gabe for helping me with this study; it’s been an amazing experience. I’ve been trying to study this stuff in my academic work for years now, working these themes and questions into essays for other courses, and it has been such a pleasure to finally give them some of the time they really deserve (though there will never be enough time for the eternal and uncaring Internet). Also, a big thank-you to craftsandpolitics for suggesting a tumblr when I was having a myriad of technological and memory issues figuring-out a stupid wordpress. I was stuck on that for weeks.  Last, I want to thank raisketch, the first and only new friend I made here during my short stay on tumblr. You gave me the opportunity to connect, and you made me smile so much with that sketch. You made this all feel real in a different kind of way. Maybe that’s what all this analysis is about, how people so far and so seperate can have any kind of meaningful anything through all of this plastic and metal and electricity and wires.  It has been wonderful to explore this mass of electricity and wires and plastic and light, but the time to close has finally come.  I’ll be taking my leave now, to slide back into the anonymous wreath of digital swaddled search, to silently roll along and watch it all unfold, from a safe distance. Thank you for enduring. Maybe, like the Major, I too will turn out a Ghost in the Shell, to occasionally come back, and leave little mementos and current ponderings.
