Where I am now at 2.58 years on...
I think the last time I logged into Tumblr was when I wrote my last post.Â
Sorry.Â
I re-read what I wrote and it was surprisingly candid - and still very much true. So I thought I would update on what has happened since then.Â
I’m now almost finished with Uni *parents cheer* and after 7 years in higher education, I am preparing to say my final sayonara to lectures, assignments, workshops, tutorials, working late in the library (as if I really did that anyway), deadlines, essays, awkward silences where no one wants to answer, worrying because you actually don’t know the answer, and best of all, terrible, expense, university coffee.Â
I do not have a job lined up for when I graduate, unlike many of my peers and I continue to tell myself that that’s okay. The only person putting pressure on me, is me and it may take a little longer than others to find a job, but d’you know what? That’s okay. That doesn’t mean you are a failure. Someone made the point to me that our careers are going to be around 40 years long. That fact, while depressing me among other things, means if it takes you six months, a year, 18 months, to find an employer who wants you, and you want them, then what does it even matter in the grand scheme of things? This applies to any career, not just law.Â
So I’m remaining optimistic - sometimes. Sometimes I just have a big moan and  a pity party. Sue me.Â
Actually please don’t, I won’t be able to defend myself, I’m not a lawyer yet.
Peace and Love x
