            “i think we can both agree that matilda and gloria are literally the queens.” she laughs with her, on their way to check out the pile of books they’ve gathered collectively. clara felt horrible she couldn’t be much help on the matters of manual labor or any strenuous physical activity. “that sounds absolutely perfect! are you going to make me filipino food? because you know i can’t get enough of that chicken ad-o-bo you whipped up.” she glanced at the librarian who checked the books one by one, eyeing the pair as if they were going to steal the books.

           “thank you.” her cheeks turned a rosy coloured hue, smile sheepish as she watched rora pick up the books. she would’ve helped if not for her swiftly disintegrating energy. “yup, those are it—for now.” despite lacking any physical power, hope read like crazy. once she had a book in hand, there was no distracting her from it. “i’m thinking i should get one of those carts to pull around so i can carry my books around. my arms are the worst. what do you think?” or she could hire a personal assistant, like her parents wanted, but that would draw too much attention.

aurora stood in a little circle huddled with some other girls as she spoke passionately about the everlasting theory of possible starting another charity. her current charity was focused on children in poverty in underdeveloped countries but now as she resided in Oxford she truly could see she could make more of a difference.  so they walk, with the girls still hovering around her and she in the middle. “ sexual harassment is a prevalent issue in today’s society and not to mention the percentage of people that continue to not reveal they were harassed or even --” she droned on and on as the girls listen to her wholeheartedly.  aurora’s tiny purse hinged on her inner elbow and her coat merely draped over her shoulder as she strode confidently speaking about these issues.

she fixes her hair, twirling a finger through it.  “but despite everything, i still believe in true love.  it’s a childish belief but sometimes all you have have is hope.” she states as the girl's nod. she continues to talk unknowingly before she bumps into a taller body.

“i’m so sorr-” she looks up and she sees familiar eyes that cut into her core and just made her want to cry.

“Mishka König, we meet again.”
