With our growing number of 21+ portfolio companies, we are looking for an Analyst in Bogota, passionate about tech and entrepreneurship, to help our founders reach their goals faster.
A Socialatom Ventures analyst is responsible for offering support to our portfolio companies participating in the our seed capital and mentorship programs, as well as coordinating communications and reporting to our public sector co-financing partners.

About the Analyst Position:
The analyst position gives a great opportunity for an individual to gain insight into the workings of many global startups we invest in and the behind the scenes of venture capital in the US and Latin America. With this experience, our analysts are poised to join one of our portfolio companies, join a venture capital firm, or better yet, build their own company.
The ideal candidate would be equally interested in working at a startup as in venture capital. We are open to candidates ranging from soon-to-be college graduates to candidates with a graduate degree and/or several years of relevant work experience.
The position is full-time based in Bogotá.
Responsibilities of the Analyst include:
Document processes and meetings for the startup programs of the Company.
Maintain records of all meetings between startups, mentors and advisors.
Performing market research and due diligence for potential investments, which could entail financial or web-analytics modeling, or testing products and services.
Meeting with entrepreneurs who have started businesses in which Socialatom Ventures may be interested in investing.
Reporting for our investors and public institutions, which includes helping to set companies' valuations, writing monthly updates, and packaging the material for our reporting to those entities.
Working with Socialatom Ventures portfolio companies, including research projects, competitor analysis, valuation work, and attending board meetings
Designing and executing projects of your own direction that help Socialatom Ventures and/or our portfolio companies.
Skills and Qualifications:
Understanding of the ecosystem of web and mobile services.
Familiarity with web technologies.
Strong drive and the ability to self-direct - your work and time is open-ended by nature and you must be able to identify and execute on opportunities to contribute to the team with little, if any, management or direction.
Strong organizational skills - you’ll be keeping track of documents for a large portfolio of investments.
Experience modeling in Excel and working in Google Docs.
Comfortable in a small, relatively unstructured office environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Bilingual English/Spanish.
Experience with tech startups a plus.
Basic technical proficiency and knowledge of programming a plus.
Experience abroad (studies or work) a plus
