I don't think people realize the "evil mad scientist gets fed to their own machines" cliche wouldn't actually work because of how inherently hot it is. Like if I were a sadistic scientist/torturer, and my test subject escaped and killed me with my own creations, I'd definitely enjoy it. So much for the movie-stereotype villain now terrified of their own work in the hands of their enemy! It'd be so exciting (even erotic!), having the tables turned and getting to experience my torture devices firsthand in my last moments. If anything, I consider it an honorable death. To share the same fate as all one's victims would be a truly poetic end.
