i really thought the point of "being lgbt+ doesn't absolve you of racism as a white person" was that white people arent absolved of racism by being marginalized but it really seems like people think other marginalizations make it okay. no being disabled doesn't do it. no being poor doesnt do it. we need to fight against racism actively no matter what.

if you're viewed as a conventionally attractive woman you're punished bc you need to be knocked down a peg for thinking you had any inherent value and if you're viewed as unattractive you're punished for daring to exist without permission but that's how it is innit there's no winning when the system was designed to make you lose in the first place! 🤣

TMRAs are always gesturing towards the women who are supposedly saying that trans men aren't oppressed, and then you look at what's actually being said and it's all, "people broadly treat trans men pretty terribly, which is awful. but it doesn't happen because they're men, it happens because they're trans." and this is seen as an unacceptable insult to manhood, for which these women must be hunted down and crushed.

THAT is what the “exempt” refers to: not that transmisogyny doesn’t ever impact you, but that at some point (interpersonally, legally, whatever) you have the ability to exempt yourself from harm targeting trans women specifically

I love how every half a year or so some new anime will have a trans woman in it, and all the chuds will crawl out of their caves to say "Noooo It's not a degenerate wokeoid transgender! It's a redpilled Japanese cultural term that us westerners can't possibly comprehend!" and then a Japanese trans woman in the replies will say "Hi, this term does carry meaning and significance in Japan! It is best translated as, 'Trans Woman' "
