TMRAs are always gesturing towards the women who are supposedly saying that trans men aren't oppressed, and then you look at what's actually being said and it's all, "people broadly treat trans men pretty terribly, which is awful. but it doesn't happen because they're men, it happens because they're trans." and this is seen as an unacceptable insult to manhood, for which these women must be hunted down and crushed.

THAT is what the “exempt” refers to: not that transmisogyny doesn’t ever impact you, but that at some point (interpersonally, legally, whatever) you have the ability to exempt yourself from harm targeting trans women specifically

I love how every half a year or so some new anime will have a trans woman in it, and all the chuds will crawl out of their caves to say "Noooo It's not a degenerate wokeoid transgender! It's a redpilled Japanese cultural term that us westerners can't possibly comprehend!" and then a Japanese trans woman in the replies will say "Hi, this term does carry meaning and significance in Japan! racism runs so deeply in people that if you call it out you are calling out them, and instead of sitting down and examining their own racism they lash out at you for being sooo meansies to them. you don't even have to be talking about anyone's racist behavior in particular because it makes racists so uncomfortable they will come forward themselves and act like you're targeting them specifically. it's okay when they do it because they're doing it in the correct way, in the nice way! they don't mean it like that. in fact they're actually being progressive. you're the cruel one for acting like their racist behavior is racist. you're the problem if you're bothered by their comfort racism. you're the bitchy colored person who makes eeeverything about racism when it so clearly isn't. i'm fucking sick of this.

hard pill to swallow here but. the normal number of people to have their accounts removed from your platform, without being given any warning or an opportunity after the fact to request any kind of appeal, based solely off of the false reports being made by open and proud bigots and serial harassers, is none. that shouldnt be happening to anyone. and it certainly shouldn't be happening almost exclusively to an extremely vulnerable minority demographic, to the extent that it is noticeable and verifiable that this is the case. and in the event that all of that did happen, repeatedly and consistently, for months on end without reprieve, recourse, or restitution, you should probably have a response a little better than "oopsie woopsie im sorry you feel like we're targeting u tee hee! but please feel secure in the knowledge that we aren't doing any of that ^_^"
