"Kitt" Kittikhun Tancharoen (formerly Zhao)
Born to Star and Sean, Kitt grew up in a poor household on the outskirts of Bangkok. Sean owned a failing garage attached to the family home, where Kitt and his older brother, Pat, spent their early years. But no matter how tight money was, their parents did everything to keep them safe and happy. The boys dreamed of starting their own legitimate racing crew with Pat as the engineer and Kitt behind the wheel.
That dream ended when Kitt accidentally predicted the future and alerted the Spider Lily (an international criminal organisation that trades gifted children to wealthy families).
At five, Kitt blurted out details of a neighbourâs fatal motorcycle crash hours before it happened, the overlapping futures flashing behind his eyes like static on an old television. Spider Lily tested him under the guise of an entrance exam for an elite international school and discovered he was the son of a former 'Gifted' who had escaped their organisation.
When Star realised the exam was a trap, she and Sean attempted to flee Thailand, but were outmanoeuvred. The organisation framed them for a major theft, leading to Seanâs arrest. Star fled on foot with Kitt, but they were hunted down. Kitt was left badly injured, and Star was killed protecting him. In the chaos his gift flickered wildly and left him uncoordinated and struggling to remember anything afterwards. All he remembers of that night is the bark of big dogs.
The Spider Lily put Kitt up for a secret auction while he was still recovering in hospital. He was quickly 'adopted' by the wealthy and ruthless Payak Tancharoen and his wife, Pear.
Payak exploited the gaps in Kittâs trauma-induced memory, convincing him that his biological parents were petty criminals who had abandoned him. To further sever his ties to the past, Payak sent him to the United States to study alongside Top, the son of a family associate.
The two rebellious teens bonded instantly over their shared love of mischief and racing. But Payak disapproved of their influence on each other and their antics soon forced them back to Thailand. His control over Kitt tightened, escalating from verbal and psychological abuse into physical violence. He punished Kitt for every perceived failure or act of disrespect, no matter how small.Â
After returning, Kitt was placed on a rigorous study schedule under Hao Xue, a prestigious former professor and family associate. Growing close to Xue and his sons, Kitt finally experienced something like a real father figure. However, when Xue tried to intervene during one of Payakâs violent outbursts, he was banned from the house. The loss left Kitt even more isolated.
One day, Kitt walked in on a family business meeting and witnessed a man being beaten half to death. His lack of reaction impressed Payak, who now expected Kitt to take an active role in the familyâs criminal enterprise.
Kitt killed his first man shortly afterward, strangling him with a phone cord. During the act his precognition had flickered with visions of the manâs final moments. When it was over, he felt nothing.
His adoptive sister, Peach, intervened when she realised how far he had already been pushed. She encouraged him to attend college and arranged for him to move into his own top-floor duplex condo, where he could live alone. Payak only agreed on the condition that Top was not allowed to move in with him.
Hao Xue quietly re-entered Kittâs life after apparently reconciling with Payak, and a new personal assistant was hired on his recommendation. The PA was meant to act as both bodyguard and overseer. Xue had secretly placed Pat, Kittâs biological brother, back into his life, without anyone else knowing.
Peach and Payak used this illusion of independence to maintain control over Kitt, leveraging financial dependence and the threat of violence to ensure his obedience.
After graduating from college, Kitt drifted into an unambitious life of street racing, partying, and reluctant involvement in the family business. Then Jay changed everything.
Jay, a prominent Thai actor turned brand ambassador for the TAE Group, publicly dated Peach while secretly pursuing Kitt. He grew Kittâs social media presence and pushed him into modelling, teaching him the art of manipulation and control. But Jay was playing a dangerous game. After moulding Kitt into a public figure, he blackmailed him before fleeing into a high-profile engagement.Â
Afterwards, Kittâs precognition glitched, forcing him to witness impossible futures of the life they could have had.
Devastated, Kitt spiralled. He drank heavily, raced recklessly, and took greater risks in criminal dealings. He even started fights with people far more dangerous than his criminal family. His self-destruction was only a symptom of a deeper issue: his mental health was steadily deteriorating.
Today, Kitt lives alone in his duplex condo with his massive Maine Coon, Riki. By day, he models, posts on social media and attends family business meetings. By night, he moves through danger, schmoozing criminals and racing without limits. All the while, he tries to ignore the futures that dance in his periphery.
