Hopping along through the rocks and stones

Its not an easy place to call home for a snail

One foot forward

Making his way through a gravelly tank

The only tank he’s ever known

He’s a lonely snail

But he’ll keep on creeping on

A rabbit snail above the rest

A rabbi, priest, and scientist

Though he doesn’t always show it

You may not see how far he’s gone

But Eustacius keeps on creeping on

One foot forward

Watching the sand as it falls from above

Out of the hand that he’s learning to love as a snail

One foot forward

He’s hopping faster than ever before

Eustacius, there’s nothing to be afraid of anymore

He’ll just keep on creeping on
