There's something so funny about how Wolfe employs an entire man to do for him everything that needs to be done outside his house so he can do his job (as well as a number of tasks that need to be done inside his house) and then hires a second man to go out and do many of those same tasks because sometimes he simply doesn't want the first guy to know what he's up to.

Self-blame can feel safer than facing the alternative. If I decide something is my fault, then at least I have a sense of control. If I caused the problem, maybe I can prevent it next time. It’s terrifying to admit that sometimes people hurt us for reasons that have nothing to do with us, because then we have no control at all. Blaming ourselves can feel like a shield, even when it’s really just a cage.

my general opinion on what people should be "allowed" to portray and what topics they should be "allowed" to explore in fiction is that you can make whatever art with whatever themes you want but i'm also allowed to think the way you handled it was tasteless and should've been done differently. my negative opinion on your handling of sensitive topics is the price of admission for publicly showcasing your work. this is not a pro-censorship stance because i am not The Government

I vividly remember talking to one of my favorite professors about how I’m scared things will fall apart after graduation and how I’m so unused to change and her just going “if things fall apart then they do and u just pick up the pieces and start over again and it’s fine. Things falling apart is not this mammoth fear u should be worried about” and I remember these words every time I want to pursue or seize something bc literally the worst thing that can happen is it doesn’t work out ….. and then I just pick up the pieces and start all over again

I am pleased by people messaging me telling me that after adding a carb or protein to their snacks or meals they feel more satisfied all day. Yes, my plan is working. People are getting through their days with less hangry.

the collective amnesia over sokka actually being pretty grumpy and serious all the time in the show is actually crazy ? why am i seeing people act like he was just some guy who was there to make jokes and keep everyone smiling meanwhile he was running that group like the navy like he used to have schedules planned and he was the only one who ever gaf about food and resources or tried to get a job to feed them 😭 like man you're thinking about AANG 😭

I didn't get a screenshot so you'll have to trust me, but Archie was going to go investigate somewhere and Nero was like "Don't worry about it tonight, it's supposed to rain any time." Archie says it's really okay, he doesn't hate the outdoors like Wolfe does, and Wolfe's like "...Okay then, well just stay because I want you here." It was cute.
