Find me elsewhere!
Greetings friends.
Much has changed since I first joined tumblr at least 12 years ago, about myself, tumblr, and the world.
I started as an early highschooler, and managed to somehow obtain my BS in biochemistry and am slated to finish my PhD in pharmacology this year (knock on wood). In a lot of ways I am thankful that I am not who I once was - I think I've matured ideologically in many ways that I am embarrassed to think about who I was in the past, and hope to continue to do so as I grow older still. I've moved across the country, gained additional passions (growing plants, swing dancing, coding) and met a lot of fantastic people.
tumblr, I'm afraid, has not aged in the way one might hope, and this is in part due to the changing of the world, or perhaps the natural consequence of systems set in motion. tumblr has been largely mishandled and, as a consequence, the community of artists, creators, curators and friends have left for greener - or perhaps simply different - pastures. It is truly saddening to see communities dispersed like so much fog - a beautiful and ephemeral thing that can't be reconstructed when the wind blows it away. Not to be overdramatic, but the memories of these communities are inextricably linked, for me, with the warm and golden evenings of my childhood.
Maybe one day we can find our way back to these golden places, and maybe we'll have to make them ourselves.
In the meantime, you can find me in many places:
