here’s a list of muses that I feel need things noted down about them as far as my portrayal of them go; if they’re not listed here they are canon compliant

" the sentence is punctuated by a kiss on the cheek. it is late, and perhaps it is by design ( read: an unfortunate turn of events ) that lukas is kept up long enough by work to see the date change. but it isn't so bad --- after all, this is the day his favorite person came into the world. " thank you for being here yet another year. my life is made all the better for it. "

             Slowly he turned on his side to look at his lover, as he let out a small exhale. “ And I thought I was supposed to be the dramatic one, hm ? ” As gently as he gazed in Lukas’ eyes, he wrapped an arm ( And in turn perhaps some extra blanket ) over his waist to bring him closer in order to pull him into a more proper kiss. 

             To others the progression of their relationship was odd, Fernand was acutely aware of that. However, as tiring as it was explaining to... oh so many people that they were now on better ( much better ) terms, that didn’t dwindle how he felt towards the other. He was a presence Fernand hadn’t realized he would grow to not be able to live without in his life, and for staying at his side he was eternally grateful.

                A hand raised to rub the man’s temples as soon as the young man finished talking, with a sigh. “ You’re killing me, Kliff. You’re literally killing me —how is that supposed to be funny ??? Not to mention you didn’t even do it on the right day. You’re unbelievable. ” he sighed again. Perhaps it was the exact response that Kliff wanted ( or perhaps it wasn’t explosive enough ) but really, when was Fernand ever one to shy away form how he feels. 

                Really the entire idea was ridiculous  — not that Fernand minded the thought of his son getting a date, no. But to date one of the people in his little ‘ friend group ’ — specially the young lady that made it clear she had nothing but disdain for Fernand too ?? Anyone would think negatively on it, and frankly it weighed on his mind more than he verbalized with the white haired boy told him. 

                                Perhaps it really was a ‘ gift of relief ’.

        Like a knight? The question angers her. She couldn’t care less about it, she feared those who bore that title and the memory that caused it wouldn’t leave no matter how hard she tried. Faye’s reasons for being here were her friends and she had no plan on following the path of knighthood. As much as the question struck a cord it was, she pocketed it away with a clenched fist. ❝ I want to learn how to use a bow. ❞ While yes, she could protect herself with a sword thanks to Mycen’s teachings, close combat implied seeing the face of the person she took the life of and that was terrifying. Magic was out of the question, there was no one who could teach her, maybe Kliff could but no, she wanted to use a bow.

        ❝ I don’t want to be cool or like a real knight, that’s dumb, i want to protect my friends when their backs are exposed. ❞ Fist unclench, arms cross.❝ So… please, teach me how to use a bow. ❞

                  “ I ... ” He started, thrown off by the young girl’s response. It wasn’t like he thought he had the most foolproof plan — no. But even then, there was a sort of underlying intensity that he couldn’t quite put his finger on that he didn’t think he was a fan of.. 

        his last class of the day,  seventh period world history,  had filed out only a few minutes ago.  thankfully,  no one had lingered,  allowing for lukas to tidy up his desk along with his thoughts  —  as well as the pounding migraine he’d been fending off all day would allow him to.  caffeine tended to help,  he’d assumed the headache to be from the lack thereof,  but this time it hadn’t.  and neither had the water he’d downed or the medication he’d taken.  it seems that sleepless nights were catching up with him.  he’d not even noticed fernand entering his always - open door,  nor was his response to his words anything less than automatic.

        “  paying close attention,  are we ?  ”  lukas bites out  —  and then freezes in his movements,  an uneven stack of tests in hand.  they’re carefully lowered back to the desk as he lets loose a sigh.  “  …  i’m sorry.  that was unnecessarily curt.  ”  god  —  what if that’d been the principal,  his coordinator,  or even a student.  the shame is almost enough for lukas to comply with fernand’s  “  demands  ”,  but all he can do as he turns to him is frown.  either he’s obvious or fernand’s just accustomed to picking up on his shortcomings;  whatever the case may be,  it’s not the least bit comforting.

        “  exams are coming up,  as you know,  so i can’t afford to waste time.  ”

                    Oh he was such a pain. Fernand couldn’t help but think to himself all but sighing at the other’s response. Frankly if it weren't for the concern of the other staff members and the occasional student he wouldn’t be here. It was so much easier for him to keep his nose out of the business of people he disliked ( Lukas ) but here he was anyway, on the behalf of others. Wasn’t he so kind ? And yet despite this, the ginger blatantly ignored what he had said. Perhaps it would be easier to personally carry the other out of the room and toss him into his truck, though for whatever reason he opted for the more uncomfortable method.  

                    “ Yes I’m aware. ” He answered flatly. ( It was almost as if he ALSO had exams to plan..!! )  “ Even so that doesn’t change what I said. Everyone else is going home, don’t get self important and run yourself ragged on ‘ your students ’ behalf. ” He continued, glaring at the other with just as much malice as was usual whenever the universe demanded they crossed paths. Perhaps even more in a moment if the other didn’t change his attitude. 

        ❝ Nope, i have to give some out.❞ Being scolded for keeping it all to himself—though he did share, sometimes—was a pain.❝ But… you know, that isn’t going stop me from keeping some to myself. ❞

                 There was only a quick glance before the man swiped the book off of his desk and promptly shoved it into a drawer before whipping his head to look at the white haired young man.

                  “ Really Kliff — was that really necessary ?? ” It wasn’t like Fernand didn’t know what this was about — however that didn’t mean this was the time or place. ( Of course he couldn’t speak for his students behalf but he didn’t imagine ANYONE wanted to talk about their teacher’s sexuality or general romantic life. ) I“ Did you at least grab what I asked you to ? ” he sighed rubbing his temples, deciding not to properly address the elephant in the room.
