A Smooth Criminal

PM: Why are you surprised? Is this something most people should know? My parents kept me in the dark about so, so much and I’m learning everyday. I took headache medicine and things to help with fever but nothing stronger until I hurt myself here. 

You want to show me these things on your laptop? You probably  have so much going on you don’t need to waste time showing it to me. I’ll probably annoy you with all my questions.

PM: Ah so your parents are one of those Conservative types huh? Makes sense now why you’d be so in the dark about things. Well, I’m not saying you shouldn’t go off and try them but I feel like you should be aware of this stuff because there are going to be people that will tempt you to try something, you should at least have some knowledge of it before just trying it you know? Not saying you are but I’m just letting you know it’s always good to know about these things.

I highly doubt your questions will annoy me, I mean it depends, but if I were annoyed I would have been by now and I’m not. Honestly I’m entertained and intrigued by this so if you’re ready you can swing by my dorm and we’ll get you educated.

As much as I like to use toys on people I can’t picture myself at an actual sex shop. Might drum up business for them to have someone like me man a counter and give people advice but I can only imagine the type of talk I’ll get from back home. Thanks for the heads up. Back to the lawyer talk. It’s more about image and your ability to do research. That’s what I had to do at the firm. Hours and hours of ass-numbing researching. I spent too many hours in a chair and a copier to make it worth it.

Why not stick to school in New York? They’ve got a couple academies there. Toronto is great but it’s not the same type of energy you get from The Big Apple.

Nope. Never taken one. I didn’t know the scene and didn’t want to introduce someone to it until I got a good feel of it. I haven’t been in months. The one I went to had some hard shit going on. Never realized the interest in needles until those dungeon trips. Bet those subs you take have a hard time letting you go once you’re done with them.

I’ve thought about doing academies in New York it’s still on my mind truth be told, I’d just hate to transition between schools like that so I might finish off the rest of my year and then possibly move when the next semester starts back up. Who knows where the future will lead me I do know that I’m going to be enjoying myself in Paris and Rome this summer. It’s a family thing to go to Paris every summer vacation but a couple of old friends of mine back at home wanna do a trip to Rome so I’m going to heading over there after the Paris trip.

The thrill of making ends meet. I can see how that would get people going, to see how much they can bring in and for how long it’ll cover your costs. I suppose it’ll be similar to what I have planned because I don’t have a whole lot to my name and to travel the way I do it’ll be tough to not struggle at some point. Will need to make extra money before I set off.

Went there for a claiming ceremony. It was a cool place. I considered moving there a few times. There’s something about a big cit which gets my heart pumping. 

Been to a few actually. I typically watch and not take part. There are some kinky motherfuckers out there. 

I’m glad someone understands where I’m coming from most people just gawk at me and look at me with a dumbfounded expression upon their faces when I talk about being a lawyer, only the ones who’ve experienced the lawyer atmosphere really understand. If you need any extra money I know a few good places in town that are looking to hire, I know Hanky Panky is looking it’s a sex shop of course, but none the less they are still hiring if you’re interested.

New York is magnificent. It’s my hometown and I wouldn’t trade it for any other place well, maybe Paris but that’s about it. Those places get my heart pumping so I know exactly how you’re feeling.

PM: I don’t know how to answer the question. I’m fascinated by it and I know I won’t look it up on the computer because it sounds serious and all serious searches I don’t do in a place where it can be traced back to me. And people abuse these? The opiods? 

PM: I’m kind of surprised that you’re not aware of this stuff, well you probably weren’t prescribed anything stronger than your basic Tylenol. If you want we can meet up sometime and I can show you some stuff on my laptop if you’re really curious but too scared to research on your own. And yes, some people do abuse medicine like Opiods.

PM: So…..the stuff from the doctor is narcotics? I’m scared to Google this because I dont’ want the school to think I’m trying to get drugs. I dont’ know if they monitore what I look at and I’m very paranoid…

PM: You can get them anywhere, they’re actually called Opioids or painkillers for lamest terms. It depends on how strong or weak they are and how chronic your pain is. So if you have sever pain like I’ve mentioned before, you may get something stronger. Like a cancer patient with chronic pain is issued something strong to ease the pain. If you look this stuff up in the library they shouldn’t monitor or care about it, they mostly care if you’re looking up porn or something. If you’re really that scared though you can clear the browser history.

Is the lawyer route one you’ve always wanted or did your dad start working you at a young age? I don’t want to say my dad did that but he was did try to get me to see the appeal of it by taking me to the office when I was a kid. Then when I worked there I saw it could be an exciting place. Which is cool for people who like that. 

Thanks for the encouragement. Traveling is something I’ve wanted to do and, I guess, I’ve done some with the move from Alabama to here then down to Louisiana. 

Ha. Not a whole lot to do on the grounds itself. I go to bars, movies, concerts, basically check out what the city has to offer.

Being a lawyer is something I’ve always dreamed of combined with my Aunt hammering me to be something successful. I’ve not talked much to my father growing up, but that’s another story for another time. My Aunt doesn’t mind me being a lawyer just as long as it’s a practical career and it makes great money for me in the future. I’ve been to my dad’s firm when I was little, I don’t remember much of it but I just remember everyone busting around and trying to make ends meet that for some reason thrilled me.

Alabama to Canada then to Louisiana? Seems like you’ve already started your traveling adventures already haha. You ever been to New York?

See. That was the plan. The safe one so you can say. But I think I have a spot there whenever I decide to give it a shot. When I got back here, after living in Louisiana for a year and a half and working in a law office; I realized that isn’t much joy which comes from it. Yeah, it pays well but where’s the passion? That’s what I hope to find when I leave this place. Maybe I’ll do the US trip,it’s easier than flying to another country but that would be awesome, too.

I guess that’s a personal opinion because I tend to find some joy whenever I think about firms and becoming a lawyer, maybe it’s just because I have the thrive of my father and I know I’ll be a damn good one if not better. I’m all for finding yourself and what you’re passionate about though, because I’ve seen a shit ton of people become miserable with themselves all because they didn’t strive to go out and do what makes them truly happy, so if traveling around the world makes you happy then go for it man! I just wish you the best on your journey.

PM: What is stronger stuff? Like pot? Or pain pills? Not liek the type they ave here at school but like the super duper heavy duty type??  I think that’s a thing?

PM: Pot isn’t that strong. Well depends on the person, I’ve had a lot of people become paranoid over pot before have you ever done pot? But the stuff they have on school campus doesn’t compare to the stuff they prescribe you at the doctor’s, that depends on how serve the pain is but guaranteed you’re always gonna have the good stuff out on the streets. I’m talking like narcotics.

PM: I…now I’m afraid to say yes.

But. Yes. I want to know.

PM: I mean it isn’t really bad...well in my opinion it isn’t. But everyone’s different. If this conversation makes you uncomfortable in any way let me know okay?

I think I might go the whole Jack Kerouac and travel by car for a couple months and see what’s around. The big question is if I do it in Canada or the US. Probably US. It’ll give me time to think and decide what I want to do. The original plan was to work at the law firm with my dad but that’s not really me.

This your final year or you got another to go?

Sounds like an exciting adventure I’d love to take. Working at the firm wouldn’t be too bad, well that’s just my opinion I suppose. I mean it makes good money and you can have a successful career out of it if you play your cards right. I’d take the adventure road trip thing to the U.S. if I were you. That whole saying about ‘the world is your oyster’ they couldn’t be more right with that. The world is yours. Take it as you want.

The same. Got the last of my semester ahead of me and then I’m done with this academy. Didn’t think I would see the end of it.

Almost done with the academy huh? Congratulations. Got any big bright future plans ahead of you for when you leave this place?

Have you tried those stronger drugs before?

PM: Figured we’d keep this to a private message, but do you really wanna know the answer to that question?

No breaks! So yay me! The swelling is all gone but I do have a little pain if I walk on it a certain way. They were supposed to give me drugs?

The drugs honestly depends on how serve the pain is. Since you just sprained it they probably recommended you over the counter aspirin which isn’t much, well compared to the good stuff like if you had broken or your bone or something, sure they would have given you stronger medicine. But glad you’re doing well and I hope next time you’re more careful of your surroundings.

What do you mean by that? 

Don’t play dumb, I know you understand what I mean. But just in case you really don’t I am trying to be flirty, as in if you were to jump in that lake naked that would really be a sight for sore eyes.
