I try my best to please them all, even if I am dead last in the seems.

I try my best to be what I'm told and expected to do, but find myself drowning, alone in the sea.

I try to keep an act that has gotten me lost in the abyss.

Later find that, even when starting as the first, I'm at the bottom of the list.

I'm not sure if I should go on like this, or if it's all an illusion.

For my eyes have deceived me not once or twice, but through my whole life of lies and confusion.

Is this all that I can become, is this all that I deserve in the end?

I've ended my dreams to allow those smiles to stay on as much as they'd like it.

I am not one who can continue with the chains around my neck and my heart ripped off.

These legs have been speared, and my hands have been burnt. My mind is forcing the thought to end it all, with how I am shattered and how I am and the many times I will fall.

I refuse to stop, yet refuse to move on. I refuse the laughter that fills my souls with joy, and the cries that fog up my mind.

I refuse it all if it means that I can no longer be myself, and if it means that I can no longer do what brings me life, then I have to stop before I'm left behind.

To live in a lie, to swim in the red sea...

I can only hope for salvation and peace...
