“A bad boy for her to fix kind of thing?” he asks, curious if that was even real. If it was, that’d be even funnier to watch crash and burn for literally anyone involved. “Me? I doubt it. I don’t dance. Thankfully, I figure the rest of the underclassmen will just do Fortnite dances to Drake songs and call that their night. And yourself?”

His smile falters slightly, not entirely sure what Danny meant. A ‘no homo’ way? Like a brotherly love? Fuck, what if that’s what Danny meant? Fuck it, if he ended up losing Danny, he’d be heartbroken, but at least he’d have been honest. “No, like... Like I’m in love with you, man. Like.. You’re the first thing I think of when I wake up and the last thing I think about when I fall asleep, and you’re in my dreams and I’m constantly living my life thinking about you. Like...” He pauses, his chest tight with anxiety as his eyes divert, being far too honest with the other. “Like when I’m getting dressed, I’m stressed over whether or not you like it and I try to wear colors you like and I get butterflies constantly when I see you and even now my neck is all hot and god, don’t touch my hands because I know they’re sweaty-” He has to cut himself off, face beating red and stomach clenched in knots. “I really just fucking love you. More than you probably know.” It felt weird, being in front of a memorial for dead kids and telling Danny he loved him, but he had a gut feeling like it just had to come out in this moment.

Felix lets out a breath, feeling a shift in the room. These two weren’t vulnerable, so this all felt weird. But it was still nice, regardless. He missed her a lot and he forgot just how much he missed her until he smelled her in his bed again. They weren’t perfect, they were pretty bad siblings, but they were doing their best and that’s what matters. Or, at least that’s what mattered to Felix. “It’s okay, I knew you were safe. You’re strong, no way anything bad happened to you.” Sure, he was scared while she was gone, worried something happened. But deep down he knew she was handling whatever it was. “It’s okay, I got my hopes up and you gotta get used to disappointment sometimes.” He pauses, chewing on the inside of his cheek. “What’s been going on with you? Meet any people? Do anything illegal?”

Rowan seemed to enjoy herself with Felix, which he didn’t mind, but she seemed even happier with Mr. B around. He’d constantly drag the cat around if it brightened Rowan’s day even a little. He’s seen her in the halls, looking like a deer in headlights, especially around other males, and it was slightly reassuring to be a guy she could trust. She meant a lot to him and probably didn’t even know it. “Maybe, or he could just get over it. He’s too spoiled.” The cat was purring deeply, maybe even asleep, living for every stroke Rowan gave him.

Thankfully, Danny doesn’t seem to absolutely loathe him at his confession. Of course, this brought a lot of thoughts to his head during the short kisses; were they actually dating? If so, when was their ‘date?’ If not, why does Dan love him back and should he ask him out? They’ve been acting like boyfriends but never really made it official. Felix couldn’t keep up. “Of course I love you, idiot,” he teases back with the biggest grin on his face.

‘He gives the older male a look. “Libra season...?” Felix then shakes his head, as if clearing it. “I’m a Virgo, but I don’t know shit about astrology.”

A white ball of fluff sat between the two teenagers, sunbathing with his stomach up. Saros (he named he cat something nerdy, and had to give him an alias near his friends; that alias being ‘Mr. B’) was being an absolute attention slut, shamelessly, of course. “Since moving back home, hiding him is impossible. He got too comfortable being able to wander and now he’s back to being quarantined in my room and he isn’t the biggest fan of that,” Felix comments, lightly petting the soft fur of the cat’s belly, looking more towards his friend.

A lull of silence falls over the two after her statement. She wasn’t wrong. They’ve both betrayed each other, they were meant to be the only thing the other person had. What made them lose sight of that? Did they really lose their grip on each other out of their own pride? Apparently. Felix was the first to blame, doubting her words and leaving home to cool off. Then when he came home, she was gone, rightfully so. He threw up plenty of times just out of sheer homesickness from not being around Liv, but he could never admit that. His stubbornness prevented that information now; in reality he probably overstayed his welcome just out of stubbornness. He sits up and turns to face her, moving his legs so she could sit on the dingy mattress if she so chose. “Still, I’ve been kinda a shit brother. You didn’t deserve to have another person walking out on you. And for that, I’m sorry.” It was a genuine, heartfelt apology. No joking or insincere tone in his voice, looking her dead in the eyes,; he meant what he said.

The taller of the two still hadn’t known what was going on. When Danny’s eyes stare up at him, he didn’t know what caused the reaction. That was, until he responded. Felix’s mouth hangs slightly in surprise and he blinks a few times, being caught off guard himself. “I... Y-Yeah, I do. I thought I made that obvious?” He was trying to not make it obvious, he was scared somehow Danny didn’t actually like him and it was all in his head and he misread the signs. Felix tries to crack a smile to break the tension and be overly casual, but the heart-clenching anxiety in his chest prevents it.
