Yep! I don’t know where to find the proof so you’ll have have to trust my word. But when Sonic cd was in development, her early character description basically called her Sonic’s cheerleader, like, she’s very energetic but also childish. But somewhere along the lines that got lost and when writing the game manuals they thought that that description meant she’s a literal child.

She was always meant to be 15 (as in, Sonic’s age at the moment). And she even was straight up Sonic’s girlfriend in the manga (to be fair, there Sonic is younger, but the point is that in any adaptation she was supposed to be his same age)

.... The kiss wasn't that bad. People overreacted in ridiculous ways to this.

"Necroplilia this" it's a fairytale kiss. Have you never read a fairytale before? Seen a Disney princess movie? No snow white? No sleeping beauty? No nothing?

Sonic wasn't completely dead. His soul was still around, Elise said so herself. The kiss worked because he answered back to her. He answered back to her because he corresponded the kiss. He corresponded the kiss because he liked her back. And it wad consensual because otherwise the kiss wouldn't have worked. That should come as implicit with the "true kiss of love" part.

And zoophilia? Sonic is not a literal animal wtf. People ship Rouge and Topaz and that's fine. People ship Eggman and Starline and that was fine. Since his conception Sonic was meant to have a human girlfriend. And furry x human pairs exist in media everywhere around.

Elise's only sin was having absolutely no chemistry with Sonic and being in an overly realistic art style
