I bundle all my little hopes         let me drive safely in the rain let             me be adored by my friends let       me finish a book let                 my loved ones never die let           the world be good and so on and         so on I bundle them, fold them neat as an unsent letter, or the wing of a sad swan and I keep them close to the skull, staple it so it’ll stick & have no where else to go when I rest, they clang there and the indifferent universe slinks onward with a heavy wind - if we are not careful it’ll rip our bundles away
