One Year
Changmin nearly choked on his bite at the laugh that couldn’t help but bubble up within him. “That sounds far too kinky,” the younger man laughed, reaching for a drink to make sure everything washed down before he would reach for another bite. Something in the brief moment it took for Heechul to answer him did not sit easy with Changmin. It was all too likely that the older man would hide the truth from him just to keep him from worrying. Unfortunately, this only worried Changmin even more and inwardly he resolved to spend some time working out whether or not he could manage a part time job during the next school year to help out. Though such thoughts brought a weight to Changmin, the nickname that came from the other seemed to lighten it at least a little. Heechul was - and always would be - the only person that could get away with calling him that…and the younger man didn’t mind it in the slightest. “Graduated?” Changmin repeated a little wide-eyed. “Yah, she never said anything to me,” he went on looking a little hacked off. After all the bickering between him and Nicole, one might have thought it wouldn’t matter to the younger man….but she was his only ‘real’ noona at Hogwarts. “Aish, and then she wonders why I’m never nice to her…” he grumbled to himself. “So long as Chopin comes along too then, or the pin cushion’s going to start staring down on me again for leaving him alone to spend time with you.”
"You're the perverted on here, not me... get your mind out of the gutter." Heechul pointed his fork, though his gaze was amused, chuckling softly. The elder couldn't help but enjoy the sound of Changmin laughing, it was rare and he liked it.
It seemed that the time that they took to think between speaking left a weight on Changmin's shoulders. Heechul could normally read the younger boy like he was a book, it was one of the reasons that they clicked, but for some reason this time he couldn't pin point what his boyfriend was fretting over as he skewered one last bite and swallowed it down with a hum. Perhaps this trip would do them both some good... or at least he hoped it would.
Heechul nodded as he set his fork down, clearly finished with his portion of the breakfast and leaving the rest for Changmin to eat. It was one of their many differences that made the elder smile a little Where Changmin could eat and eat on end, Heechul barely ate much at all and his boyfriend would end up finishing his plates for him. "She was a senior Changmin. It's not her fault that she finally graduated..." Heechul chuckled lightly, rolling his eyes as he paused and thought for a moment. A year really was a long time... and it almost made him smile wryly as he thought back over it.
"Of course Chopin is coming. I would be disappointed if he weren't." The elder rolled his eyes, standing up as he moved to gather a few last things into a small carrying bag and slung it over his shoulder. Approaching the bed to the side of the room, he scooped up the hedgehog and bunny and lifted them up to his face. "Miss me guys?" A laugh passed his lips as he grinned, setting Mozart on his shoulder as he held Chopin in his cupped hand. "Whenever you finish, we're leaving."
