In "The Sound and the Fury: What we listened to while writing Dragon Age: Inquisition" posted on the BioWare blog on December 12, 2014, Weekes says the following:

When Solas talks about things that he saw in the Fade, things that speak to a distant past, I needed him to sound ever so slightly otherworldly and wistful – someone remembering a dream with a sense of both sadness and inevitability. So I took k.d. lang’s cover of “Hallelujah”, and I wrote key scenes to that single song on loop. If you follow that link and look at some of Solas’s lines, you may notice a familiar rhythm come out. It would have been forcing it to give lines the same rhyme scheme, but giving the words the meter captured some of that wistfulness and made Solas sound ever so slightly otherworldly. ... (In the rare cases the player got into the same rhythm, there was always an approval bump from Solas. For that brief period, it was like the player was thinking like he did.) I used this a few times over the game, and I love what it did to his voice. Also, Cori (who edited Solas) is exceedingly kind for putting up with my request that changes to those lines keep this surreptitious rhythm.

A ruby, diamond, enamel and gold ring, circa 1750.

Designed as a pair of billing doves with outstretched wings, each set with a facetted diamond to their breast, perched on a branch embellished with two white diamond-set flowers, between two larger white and blue flowerhead motifs each set with a cushion-shaped ruby, applied throughout with black, white, green and deep blue enamel, the reverse similarly enamelled with an indistinct inscription in French shorthand, only distinguishable words being 'par amour', to a fluted gold shank with black enamel, circa 1765, UK size L1/2.

Billing doves as a representation of romantic love was popular in the 18th Century (their are mid 18th century Meissen porcelain versions of this scene for example) but can be traced back to ancient times as a symbol of love and desire, and as such are associated with the goddess Venus. It is safe to presume this ring would have been given as a token of love and the word 'Amour' legible to the reverse of the doves further confirms this. The ruby is also known as a representation of love due to its colour and can be found flanking the doves in this ring.

It is incredibly rare that examples of such jewels from this period survive today, and this is a particularly elaborate example. As can be imagined, their delicate enamel work and frames mean that most are lost to the sands of time, making this little treasure all the more precious.

I'm in my 7th year of college, which means I am long past my free tuition period. Changing degree programs took me forever due to bureaucracy. Thankfully, I'm already more than halfway through coursework at this point. I've been trying to maximize my academic load to finish my degree quicker, but of course that leaves me no time to work as much as I used to.

I couldn't pay for my partial tuition loan on time, so far I've paid ⅖ (12,000 PHP / ~200 USD). I need to pay for the remaining balance now with interest (18,000 PHP / ~300 USD)

I'll try to look for more avenues to pay for this‌, but since this is urgent I'm just gonna flat out ask. I need to pay this before the 3rd week of July. In the case I find alternatives (more loans, work, etc.) I'll use the excess from this to also save up for the upcoming next semester.

I've been wanting to catch up to the pre-enlistment which is at the end of this week so I'm gonna be boosting this throughout. I'll end the goal by Thursday, July 16 so I can process my payment sooner. It would mean a lot if I met my goal, but also I'm grateful for the support I have now!
