This is a list of foods that are “safe” foods, they help metabolism, provide a lot of vitamins and minerals, and help keep the body free of toxins and other chemicals that cause weight gain or fat storage. It’s meant to be used as a cleanse diet to get away from processes foods and the sluggish feeling that comes with not eating healthy. I thought it was nice to have a list of a ton of foods I could eat and not be afraid of the effects. Tailor it to your calorie limits and create a healthy menu for yourself. You’ll find that you can eat more for fewer calories, and the calories you’re eating do more good for your body. Having a list of safe foods helps fight binging, because you aren’t always thinking about what you can’t have and instead can think about what you can have!
Frozen Grapes.
Now, this will probably be one of the easiest things I post on here, and one of the most common things out there.
But honestly. They are one of my favorite things, I like green grapes because they are tart.
An awesome replacement for Ice Cream and other sweets, better than a sugary popsicle and they fill up your stomach fairly fast. No self control needed.
Calorie Count: 10 grapes= approximately 37 cal.
if you’re craving something sweet:
ingredients:
½ red apple
½ banana
water
steps:
chop up the apple into bite-size pieces*
slice the banana (not too thin!)
in a small-ish pan, pour just a bit of water and turn up the stove heat until the water starts to sizzle (this setting is different on every stove). you’ll want a cup of water at the ready to add more to the pan as needed
carefully place the pieces of apple in the pan. you will add the banana later, but the apple takes longer to soften
after about a minute or so, add the banana
sprinkle whatever seasonings you like on top. some people like a little cinnamon and sweetener, others choose to drizzle honey and forego seasonings altogether
remember to keep at least some water in the pan, it’ll evaporate but make it easier to move the fruit around
flip the apples if necessary
when everything is nice and soft, put it in a bowl and enjoy it alone or with some low-cal whip. better yet, use it as a filling for a sweet egg white omelette :)
*thinly slice the apple if you’d like it softer
Healthy cookies PACKED with nutrients! 🍌
I made these cookies this morning for my first day of school, I’m going to most likely update it and make it more improved since I was in a rush! There’s more low cal options out there but this is packed with only healthy fats, and flavour. All the ingredients I used are healthy and have benefits!
The whole recipe is 234 calories so 58.5 calories per cookie if you make 4. OR you could make mini ones for 15.6 cals if you make 16 of them. They look small but that’s because i didn’t spread them enough and I should’ve added water or maybe almond milk. As I said I’ll experiment but this is the recipe for the ones pictured!
Here it is!
-45 grams Quaker oats (180)
-1 medium banana, used 57 grams (51)
-½ teaspoon cinnamon (3)
I added three packets of Splenda but to be honest I didn’t even think it needed it! The banana made them naturally sweet. ✨
I also added almond extract, vanilla extract and pumpkin spice but that’s totally up to you! Calories will vary depending on brands.
I mixed all the ingredients and put them on a parchement paper, preheated the oven to 400• and cooked them for 15 minutes!
They came out super warm, I felt super cozy eating it. 😌
My sister tried one hours later and said it was better cold than warm so if you like crunchy cookies I’d wait a few hours! (They were left in the fridge, wrapped so you could definitely save them for school/work lunches and such!)
I’m aware that these are more high calorie compared to other cookies I’ve seen on here, but it’s worth it. It definitely cures a sweet tooth as well! Basically like as if banana bread and an oatmeal cookie had a love child. 🍌💕

What I wish I knew before I fell into this trap
Heart failure is a very real thing. Organ failure is a very real thing. Brain damage is a very real thing. You cannot avoid these if you are restricting at a dangerously low deficit, I promise you.
You will feel like shit, all the time. Your head will always hurt. You will always feel nauseous. You will always feel weak. You’ll wake up in the morning and the first thing on your mind will be how absolutely exhausted you are, no matter the amount you slept. You’ll lose the ability to focus, or even think at all properly.
You will see people die. If you manage to not WITNESS it, you will hear about it. There are many blogs still up on here whose owner’s have long since passed.
Getting thinner won’t make people like you. Romantically, platonically, in general. People will see you losing so much weight so fast and they will know to stay far away from you, because they don’t want to see you DIE.
Extending from that, you won’t like the attention. Yeah, you’ll get the “You’ve lost so much weight!” all the time. And then what? You lose more, and the comments stop. You’ll get pressured to eat. The only thing people can focus on is your weight, just like you. They’ll stop looking you in the eyes. Everyone around you will know you’re a ticking time bomb, and they won’t be able to stop thinking of how close to death you are. It doesn’t matter what weight you are, you will start dying, and everyone can tell.
You will not be dainty or pretty, and you won’t feel dainty nor pretty. You’ll feel fucking disgusting.
Your life will always be numbers. Calories, pounds, ounces, grams, inches, calories pounds ounces grams inches calories pounds ounces grams inches. You will never be able to forget these numbers.
That ana buddy you want so desperately? That’s just another disordered person who you’re encouraging to kill themselves, whether you acknowledge it or not. Maybe they’ll die. Maybe you’ll die. Maybe you both will.
Yeah, maybe you’re reading all of this and the only thought on your mind is “Well, as long as I’m skinny, right?” Or, “I WANT to die, this doesn’t mean shit.” You don’t want to die like this. You don’t want to live like this. I’ve had my heart stop three times. I’ve had my heart almost stop more times than I can count. Those minutes before you flatline? They don’t feel like the movies. I wasn’t surrounded by family and friends. I wasn’t basking in the glory of my sickness. I was shaking, cold and alone. I was terrified.
You won’t be a success story. You’ll be just be another fucking statistic.
Get the help, please. Don’t devote your life to this. You deserve better than to suffer. Please.
💫🌿🌺 tips for being ur best self this summer 🌺🌿💫
hey friends, here’s a little post of tips… consider it a less harmful alternative to the hundreds of posts floating around giving advice on restricting and purging.
🌺 FEELING DIZZY? IS YOUR VISION BLURRY? GOT A HEADACHE? put down the diet soda and drink some water. in any case, you should regularly be drinking water throughout the day. remember, your body can only absorb about 500ml of water at a time, so don’t try and chug your ‘daily requirement’ all at once. you should be aiming for 2L a day. drink up, it’s hot outside.
🌿 DON’T LIKE WATER? jazz it up. put some fruit in it. put some mint in it. lemon + mint + flat or sparkling water = your new lemonade ( NOTE: try not to drink lemon/other citrus-infused water on an empty stomach, the acid will start to eat away at your stomach lining ) strawberries + frozen blueberries + raspberries = also a great combination, as well as watermelon + basil
💫 GOT A BLAND/REPETITIVE MEAL PLAN? take a multivitamin. they come in all kinds of forms from capsules to chewables to gummies, so there’s really something for everybody. taking a multivitamin regularly will help you get the vitamins and minerals that you’re lacking. something to also consider is taking vitamin B6/biotin for your hair and nails, and vitamin D to help lose belly fat.
🌺 WORRIED THAT YOU’LL BINGE? try a meal replacement powder mixed with water or almond milk. not only are they meant to be filling and curb your appetite, they’re also formulated to include most/all the nutrients that would have been found in the average well-rounded meal. the one i personally have is 145kcal per serving and mixed with cold water it tastes just like a strawberry milkshake.
🌿NEED A SNACK? frozen grapes are your new friend, along with frozen blueberries and raspberries. a square of dark chocolate never hurt anybody, and neither did a rice cake with some honey/peanut butter/almond butter drizzled on top. craving something savory? veggie sticks + a little hummus are here to save the day, and if you want something sweet and savory, try a watermelon + feta + mint salad.
💫 NO GYM MEMBERSHIP? take a walk around your neighborhood. go for a jog. go swimming at your local pool. check out some pilates videos online. try some calisthenic exercises at home, or yoga. even a few minutes of physical activity is better than nothing, and will make you feel so much better and closer to your goals than sitting on tumblr and scrolling through the dash. I mean, you could even scroll through tumblr while you’re out on a walk, if you don’t mind using the data
🌺WORRIED YOU’LL SELF HARM? talk to a friend, or a family member you trust. listen to some angry music. paint a picture, throw some fine china plates on the ground. whatever you do, try to channel your feelings into something other than harming yourself. i know people always say to snap an elastic against your wrist or to chew ice but personally, that stuff never helped me. talking out my feelings and venting to another person, however, did. so really, if you feel like you’ve tried every other alternative and you have no one to talk to–– send me a message, anonymously or not, and i’ll do the best i can to hear you out.
some tricks i use
> chamomile tea helps with a bloated stomach (you can also use it as a steamer if you have a cold, just put it the in a bowl, put a towel over your head and inhale the steam for a few minutes)
> green tea boots your metabolism and keeps you awake
> lavender tea is good for insomnia or anxiety
> instant soups can be helpful if you’re craving something savoury
> if you’re tired of drinking plain water, make it fancy with some lemon juice or mint leaves
> freeze lemon water or tea and suck on it if you’re craving something

I saw this on Tiktok and thought it needed to be passed on. Pololū Valley is sacred land currently at risk of being developed into yet another "scenic tourist attraction" for profit. Activists like @/melemaikalanimakalapua on Tiktok are fighting to have this petition seen by as many people as possible in order to prevent the senseless destruction of this land.
