I debated whether or not to post this but decided to go ahead because so many of you have met and spent time with Bella over the past 17 years of her long and happy life. We didn’t choose Bella, she chose us when Booker and I drove to Lexington, TX and Booker opened the gate with all the puppies and Bella was the one that followed him everywhere. Bella is toughest and sassiest dog I’ve ever met. She is the epitome of a diva. When she gets sprayed in the face by skunks, she keeps barking. She’s got the loudest, brain-piercing bark, doesn’t listen to anyone and does what she wants. She only likes to be held like a football. She’s also incredibly sweet, loves unconditionally and has given me so much for so long. We’ve been through a lot together and she’s family not only to me, JoJo, my parents, Cameron and Cody but now also to Marlowe, Jeff and his parents. Seeing her decline from dementia and other ailments over the past many months has been heartbreaking. We had to finally say goodbye to her today. Hug your pets and give them all the love you have. The pain we go trough letting them go is worth the love and joy they bring to us, no matter how long we have with them.
