                  there’s some part of his brain that nearly coughs out some SENTIMENTALITY joke, but it’s blood that bubbles up instead. that’s scary. it’s not the first time murphy’s coughed up blood, but it didn’t FEEL like that last time. ‘ you have to kill them. ’ are the words that finally break free. a killer, that’s what he is. ‘ you have to kill every last one of them. ’

"Shush, just concentrate on staying awake, okay? Don't sleep."

       he doesn’t want to approach her, but it feels too eerily quiet to leave. ‘ so any ideas on how we’re getting down? ’ it’s not the first time he’s mentioned it.

          everyone has been through hell and back, and murphy has to admit he’s a little relieved to see raven. she’s always been able to keep up with his wit. ‘ looking good, reyes. ’ the words spill out over a smirk.

             he’s too angry to put up with clarke’s judgement right now, his hands curling into fists so tight the color drains from them. all she sees out of him is a fuck - up, a murderer, and maybe that’s all he is, but she doesn’t get to strip him of common sense to make a point. ‘ YEAH, clarke, i’m threatening you. in front of your grounder bodyguard and group of friends with guns, would you just          get over yourself! ’

            ‘ uh ... nice haircut. ’

         the sharp counter digs into his lower back as he backs up, hands finding the edge and gripping it until his knuckles turn white. these are all very natural reactions for someone who is scared, but it’s not a grounder or a gun that has him cowering, it’s leon. his breaths come out heavy, searching the other’s face, eyes stopping on his lips. ‘ GO ON. i dare you. ’

             his brows furrow trying to figure out just what she’s insinuating, if she’s talking about him or herself at this point. clarke had never liked him, and he had never liked her either, but he began to feel sympathy for this kid who was given a crown ; he hadn’t realized how hard something like that might be. luxurious, sure, but hard, and he would have never made the right decisions. there’s something wearing on her, and even if she’s trying to take a stab at him, it’s a weak one, filled with something you hate about yourself instead. ‘ NO, no you can’t. ’
