I like to think Toshinori has at least one photo of himself and Nana.
oh gosh him laying awake at night remembering and wondering questioning if hes doing things right if sheâd be proud of him wondering if she every had any second thoughts on choosing him as her successor OOF mha (tags via forgedobsidian)Â
DUDE
@slightly-less-might And he keeps it in a very special place, getting it out on days where going forward just seems too hard.
@angstandhappiness YES! He also absolutely has a picture in his wallet that he keeps the face down so that it doesnât fade and when he needs that extra boost he can take it out and look at it purposefully. He doesnât ever want to take it for granted
Enji should give his one lung to Toshi...
Once again I am reminded that Toshi is best dad
Toshinori: Listen up teens, thereâs nothing âmemeâ about smoking cigarettes. Itâs not âNetflix and chillâ to take a drug. âFidget spinâ yourself into church
Letâs just say heâs not quite up with modern slang

Toshinori doesnât have a driving license. He never needed one before and he just gets driven around now. He canât believe he never learned.

Bakugouâs Mask Theory
So I was drawing Bakugou and All Might and I had a little bit of a thought. So correct me if Iâm wrong but masks are pretty useless for heroes because there arenât really any secret identities.
So what if Bakugou was trying to look more like All Might?
Obviously, it doesnât look exactly like All Mightâs eyes but I think that itâs just a little way of showing that he wants to be like All Might too. Also I donât know if anyoneâs mentioned this before.
oK so does anyone ever actually mention that Bakugou was chained to a podium like he was some animal and humiliated on live tv. They muzzled and chained a c h i l d to a podium because he said n o. All because he refused to accept an award. No one objected to it either. Not even Deku said a goddamn word about his childhood friend being treated like that. Honestly Bakugou must have been terrified and expressed that in his anger. I cant imagine how crushing it was when All Might didn't react to i
Pt 2. Not even Aizawa said a word about it. I canât even imagine what they would have to do to even restrain him to that length. How many heroes did Bakugou have to defend himself against all because he said no to something? God it was just because he refused an award. I also question what that did to Bakugouâs mentality as well. Is he even able to refuse things? Do his wants and opinions even matter? Why is nothing like this ever explored? (Sif Rosae does a good job exploring his mentality.)
I think that the root of it is that no one (not even Aizawa whoâs the teacher who probably understands him the most) understood the reason why Bakugou was lashing out. What they saw was a child behaving like a feral gremlin. And I mean, I donât exactly fault them for this because Bakugou trying to hit an unconscious Todoroki is probably the lowest point Bakugou has ever reached. Itâs even worse than the suicide baiting he did to Deku in chapter 1. I understand his frustrations and his inferiority/superiority complex, but taking out your insecurities on unconscious people is⌠pretty fucked up no matter how you look at it. What I do fault the heroes for, however, is what I always fault them for: neglecting proper mental health care and counseling. Itâs the same issue Bakugou goes through over and over.Â
The stereotype bnha society is founded on is that people with powerful quirks cannot have weaknesses. They work on the assumption that by virtue of having a flashy superpower, you also automatically become invulnerable to pain. In any shape or form. This is how no one questioned that All Might could shoulder the weight of maintaining peace on his individual back for more than 20 years. All Might is a brave man, but heâs also essentially a robot. When he became a symbol, he essentially gave up his right to be a human being. He is not allowed to stop smiling, because if he does, people associate that with him losing, and that gives way to fear and unease. He is not allowed to retire, because criminals would take it as the okay to reign terror. He is not allowed to be injured, or to reveal that he sustained a life-threatening wound that still impairs his full power, because that means that even superhumans can be hurt. He literally has to hide his disability and mask the fact that he can only sustain the muscle form for minutes on end before his inside become so fucked up he literally coughs blood, because the toxic mentality hero society is based upon is that strong people cannot have weaknesses.Â
This fundamental toxic stereotype also affects how people perceive mental health. Over and over, Bakugou goes through traumatic experiences but no one bothers checking up on him to see if heâs faring well. You know, psychologically. Because kidnapping is an experience that can lead to ptsd. They assume that heâs fine because his quirk is flashy, which means that heâs strong, and since heâs strong he cannot have weaknesses.Â
So when he wins the tournament but refuses the prize, all the adults around him dismiss it as him just throwing a fit instead of questioning the reason why heâs protesting the prize. They brush it off as Bakugou just being Bakugou. So they just chain him up on a podium and call it a day instead of addressing the issue, because brushing it off is easier.Â
No one ever bothered questioning why he had a grudge against Deku either. They only stopped him when he went too far. But they never tried to get through to him, to make him talk about his issues. Worse yet, when the bad blood between the two didnât show signs of âsolving itselfâ on its own, Aizawaâs grand solution was⌠to pair them up together in a training excercise. Like. A bully and his preferred punching ball. Sure, letâs pair them together, whatâs the worst that can happen, right? Midoriya is already used to feel pain anyway, whatâs a little more.Â
Itâs almost like everything always circles back to the heroes negligence or something, lol. I wonder if Horikoshi is trying to tell us something
The stuff about Toshi rings so true. Heâs pushed himself for *years* to be what hero society wanted him to be and then when he canât do it anymore heâs just tossed aside. He doesnât know what to do with himself, doesnât see himself as worthy of praise because he could have done more, could have saved more people. The world loved All Might but they donât care about Yagi Toshinori. You can only take so many people telling you you look freaky or scare them before you start to believe it. All he had for most of his life was his work. Then he retires and everyone panics about the hole he left because nobody thought to prepare for his retirement or injury. After all heroes donât retire.

Just something I made đ
All Might is really important to me as a young sick & disabled person.
Toshinori had always hidden his disability since he got it. It wasnât something he was ashamed of but it was something the symbol of peace couldnât be seen to have and the last thing he wanted was to be coddled. When he retired didnât even realise he was now a role model for so many young kids with disabilities or issues with their quirks until he got the first letter telling him that thanks to him a disabled child had enrolled in hero school after years of thinking it impossible. It was a whole community he hadnât ever been a part of suddenly embracing him as an inspiration and he was not afraid to say he cried. Toshinori went on to deliver speeches about being All Might with his injuries and exactly what happened to him, becoming even more of an inspiration to so many.
Yes you little creep. It is possible to speak to a girl and not have them run from you. You just canât do it.
