• M Y R E A S O N W H Y • Day 2 of #marchmeetthemaker and why I started.... simple.....my children! It’s been far from roses 🌹 it’s been blood (well paper cuts galore) sweat and lots of tears. Rewind to January 2015, I had just found out my youngest daughter was seriously ill, she had been diagnosed with #marfansyndrome from an eye test. She was registered partially sighted, diagnosed with #scoliosis and told she had heart problems all within 6 months of this eye test. At the same time I discovered I was pregnant with my third child and then made redundant. Seriously on the verge of breaking I knew it was not going to be easy but I decided to set up alone. To be in control, to be there whenever my kids needed me. It’s been HARD! I’ve made mistakes...lots of mistakes! But I’ve been able to drop everything when it’s needed to be dropped, to see the good times and the hard times, to enjoy every second of my kids. To bathe their cuts and grazes, to wipe their tears and to laugh at their craziness. There have been times I thought is it really worth it, late nights or packing orders, it hasn’t bought me a lavish lifestyle but it’s paid for me to be there with them and I would never change it for the world! I’ve grown with my business and am so happy where it’s come from and where it’s going! It will be a tough year with major surgery looming but i know it will be ok! Friends I have made in the past year or so have been my rock! They’ve shared my success and inspired me.
